Had an absolutely fantastic first experience here. Landon was super helpful, and we were overwhelmed with all the great choices and great deals they offer here. I walked out with an incredible deal on a redwood slab that is the perfect size for a standing desk (still have a bunch of sanding and finishing left to do ??)I will definitely be back for more once this project is finished. Also, the website was really helpful for navigating the different types of wood. Thank you all so much for making this project possible!
Horrible experience. We picked a beautiful walnut slab despite the extremely high price tag- it was over 4,000 dollars, three times the cost of the other countertop we were considering- and were asked to pay the full amount upfront. This was a horrible mistake because it meant that there was no leverage when things started to go wrong. The sales person in Peroba sprayed the slabs we looked at with water, so we could compare them, saying "it would show the finished color".I took pictures and left a sample which showed the color temp we were aiming for, and another item which we asked to be refinished to match. I asked if I should email the photos I took of the wet slab and sample and the salesperson told me there was no need as "everything was written down". We were told the water sprayed slab color would be the color of the finished slab. The contract said the job would be finished in 5-6 weeks. After 3 months of silence our GC called to find out why it was taking so long and we were told that the slab had been damaged and would be further delayed. We were told that it would be delivered "at the end of the week", week after week. The slab eventually showed up after 4 months. It was a completely different color to what we had been shown, (see photos of what we were shown vs what we were given 4 months later). The company did not offer a timely resolution, despite having already delayed our project by months. We are now forced to find a different refinisher to strip and start again. I hope we can find someone who can match the beautiful rich color of the slab when it was wet as this is clearly not an easy thing to do, despite what we were told in the showroom. The countertop we received is a sad grayish color. I so regret spending so much on a 64x 24 countertop that looks nothing like anything I would have chosen in its current state, four months and four thousand dollars later.
Finally finished our 8ft Giant Sequoia table and wanted to give a recommendation to anyone looking for wood slabs great prices here and customer service thanks to the big bearded guy who helped us!
Karl was brilliant from the first phone call to final venmo checkout. He gave us time to explore and offered expert guidance when asked without pressuring a sale. He has an abundance of material at reasonable prices. There's something for everyone, in my opinion. We picked up a few small tables worth without having to bark for a better deal. Thanks!!
