After much research and calling various places, our family settled on Abbey Carpet & Floor. We were all nervous about which kind of carpet to choose. Jim made it easier by having us visit his showroom. He uses premium padding under the plush carpet. Wow! We have some very picky family members, but all of us absolutely love the carpet. It feels wonderful, soft, and bouncy under our feet. So happy we chose carpet over hard flooring. Positively heavenly. Such a luxurious feel to it. We are all very happy!
This is the third time we’ve used Abbey Carpet & Floor in Riverside, and overall, we’re really happy with their work. Jim and Dennis were great to work with — super knowledgeable and helpful while we were picking out our LVP flooring.The installation team, Ron and his crew, were absolutely wonderful too. Our floors needed quite a bit of leveling, so it was a big job — and they handled it beautifully. They were professional, detail-oriented, and the finished floor looks fantastic.The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that, considering how much we spent, I felt like they could have gone just a little further with customer service. When Jim came to pick up the final check, it would’ve been a nice touch if he had brought a Bona mop and cleaner and said, “This is what you’ll want to use to care for your new floor.” We also discussed using a piece of masonite for moving furniture without damaging the floor — I mentioned it twice, and was basically just told to get it myself at Home Depot. I did — it was $15. The Bona kit is $40. Not a huge deal, but for the price of the project, those little extras would have gone a long way.That said, the floor looks amazing, and I still highly recommend Abbey. Their work is top-notch, and with a few tweaks to the customer experience, they’d easily be a five-star business.
Outstanding service. Dennis and Jim were able to order the carpet we wanted and install it in 2 of our bedrooms the day we were moving into our new house. All at a moments notice. We called so many places no one could do it, but they made it happen and the job was excellent!!
