Through the years I’ve bought floors and carpets from City Carpet, and I give them the highest recommendation. It’s a family operation (with canines) and everyone is congenial and helpful. Recently I wanted inexpensive floor to replace carpets in our closets, and they found open boxes, and the cost with installation was very affordable. Additionally, their installers, who have been there for numerous years are craftsman- did a fabulous job.
We have a yacht in a marina in San Rafael and wanted a carpet store that was used to doing all the detailed work around hatches and steps. The team did not disappoint! They were efficient, clean (vacuumed thoroughly), easy to work with and did a great job replacing the carpet. I highly recommend City Carpets for this type of work.

Hossein and his crew did a fabulous job installing beautiful carpeting in my home in Mill Valley. It was a coordinated effort among me, my interior architect David Rivera, and Hossein and his crew. City Carpets has an enormous selection of beautiful carpets and they patiently worked with me and David to get the right color and texture for my floors and steps. The “floating” steps were tricky to wrap and required precise measurements and cut, as well as careful installation. The end result was perfect. Thank you Hossein!
From the moment my wife and I visited the store in San Rafael, Hossein helped us in choosing the carpet installed. Hossein came to our home the same day to take measurements and brought us more samples to check color variations under lighting conditions in the house. He worked with us on the budget we had and picked the right carpet.On Friday, the job was finalized on the 2 bedrooms plus hallway and a set of 2 staircases. under 6 hours by very professional installers, Rafael and Pepe, great job guys.
