Due to a pipe burst flood in June, we have had no flooring
in our house for three months. Not ideal with a wife and toddler...

Our dawdling insurance company was unable
to help us with a flooring Vendor (frustrating!)
Finally, I stopped in to Rafael Floors with my wife. We made our selection, and were quoted an installed price on the first visit.
Less than a week later, the new flooring and replacement baseboard were installed.
After dealing with insurance for three months, I can't say what a pleasure it was to find a vendor who knew what they were doing and could make it happen for us.
Not only was the sale staff helpful, and the installation crew fast, clean and efficient the entire experience made my wife and I appreciate the professionalism exhibited by Rafael Floors.

Here is a set of events for a recent purchase I did:

- I purchased ~330 sq ft of vinyl flooring (14 boxes).

- During the purchase of the flooring, the salesman never mentioned to purchase a transition piece (where the flooring meets a door). This required me to place a second order for just a quarter round and pay an additional shipping cost.

- When we went to install the flooring, about ~4 boxes of material were damaged. We used what we could on the ends and we ended up having to return two boxes of material that could never be used.

- During the return, the business charged my card instead of issuing a refund even though they provided a receipt to me that indicated a credit. I only noticed once I was reviewing my credit card statement.

I won't be doing business here anymore.

This was not our first time working with Rafael floors but the first time for a refinishing job. Owner Steve was very easy to work with; came to our home in a timely manner to check out the job, measure etc. Since I was concerned that refinishing might not work for the engineered floor he came back with his long-time refinisher and they determined that there would be enough wood for one time refinishing. I wouldn't have trusted the job to just anyone; a little too much sanding and you'd hit the subfloor. But given the Sander's experience, I felt confident. The price was the best of three places I compared with and the final refinishing looks lovely.

Great customer service. I am a local homeowner with limited experience in flooring but with a handymen disposition. The team here were able to guide me on repairing hardwood floor patches that were left open after a significant remodel where doors were moved in my house. They provided free samples, advice and guidance where I could go find the products I needed. Highly recommend the neighborhood Rafael Floors. I was originally quotes $2,000 to patch my floors, but after the guidance I received I was able to do it myself for only $27.

Jennifer helped walk me through different types of flooring, and Steve was incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with, especially to get a price that worked for our budget. He kept us updated on the expected delivery of our hardwood floors and helped manage an issue when some boxes arrived damaged. Now having dealt with a number of vendors for our house, I recognize how pleasant it was to work with Steve and Rafael Floors as a whole. I would definitely recommend them for others who are looking for flooring.
