Reviews frequently mention helpful, communicative staff and clear coordination from order to pickup. Several customers highlight responsiveness and attention to detail on unique or changing project needs. There is at least one report about product compatibility advice that led to floor issues, suggesting buyers should verify underlayment and install requirements for their specific product.
We purchased LVP planks for our kitchen and dining room here a couple of years ago. I had inquired about an underlay they had that was advertised as a soundproof aid since I have an office underneath the kitchen. We were told that it was a great premium choice and bought it. Well, it turned out to be incompatible with the flooring so within a couple of weeks, the floor was buckling and coming apart all over the place. I can’t say that this company was very quick about remediating the situation. And once I was finally assigned an installation company, they told me I would have to wait because the holidays were coming up and people needed their flooring in time for family visits. Like I didn’t?? Anyway, the underlay was replaced with a compatible type, and the flooring was installed finally, but not before one of the guys on the crew dented my dishwasher with a mallet that flew out of his hand. He didn’t even apologize. Well, now it is almost 2 years later, and the flooring has come away from one wall and started to separate at one seam that is in a high traffic area. I went to floor trader to ask what could be done, and they recommended buying a floor repair kit and a special tool from Home Depot and possibly just “using some super glue”. The guy also said “this just happens to flooring. It moves around.“ He also suggested I could replace the baseboard with larger trim to cover the blank space. Of course, that would essentially mean replacing ALL of my baseboard trim. Insane. Well, they certainly didn’t warn me about that when we bought the floors and spent loads of money! The guy also asked if I wanted the name of an installer I could hire to fix the flooring, but I told him after my previous experience with their Bull-in-a-China shop installers, I wasn’t interested in hiring their crew. I realize that this flooring is no longer under warranty, but I definitely feel like it should last longer than two years. Incredibly disappointing.
My husband and I are redoing our entire house with LVP flooring and carpet in all the bedrooms! This company and the people that we worked with, Denise & Tiah, were so informative and knowledgeable. But most of all as well, they're customer service was a 5 ??????????. Thank you for the pleasant interaction! ??
I'm making this review because I needed a piece of carpet remnant for free.As I walked in, I spoke to somebody really quick about needing something for the bottom of my floor of my minivan. So I borrowed the minivan and it was so dirty I had to clean everything, but I just can't afford to pay to have the back carpet cleaned.I did the best I could with a vacuum cleaner and a broom as best I could. So I had to find a piece of scrap carpet where I could put down on the floor. As I walked in, the GM (I think) said sure no problem. He didn't try to upsell me. He was very nice. Smilled and was super polite. He directed to another person who was all smiles. I was in awe of how they had customer service so well down even though I'm not buying anything. They still treated me as though I was going to carpet my whole house. He took me back to this little section that had some little piece of carpet that I needed and said sure go right ahead. Get whatever you need. I'm like really. He was like, sure, no problem. I was just set back by the kindness. He smiled the whole time. Great experience just walking in and asking for something for a free piece of scrap carpet absolutely phenomenal experience.Definitely need to do business with them when I'm ready to actually purchase carpet or what ever.
I’m a flooring contractor in Port Angeles and I’ve been recently using Floor Trader for a few projects. They have been absolutely amazing in communicating and being transparent with the entire process.Had multiple change orders and some unique purchases that required a high level of attention to detail and Zach was able to find me everything I needed and was incredibly responsive and professional.I will certainly be using Floor Trader for future projects moving forward.5 stars!!!!
Very detailed bid and excellent service! John and company monitored progress every day, Foreman Miguel did terrific workmanship, quality and speed. An estimated 5 day job done in 3.5 days and when they said they would do it. This included an unanticipated floor prep to fix unexpected conditions underneath the old carpet. Very pleased.Had them do a house in Buckley for me just a few months later and I experienced the same excellent service! Really professional job.
