We spent a lot of money with First Floor / Carpet One and after multiple attempts the flooring is still not right (uneven, shifting, gaps etc). It is just hard to accept that you spend $20K in flooring and you have to look at places in the floor that still are not right. I just wish they would treat the work as if it were their own house...at some point I guess I will have to pay someone else to get the job done right!
Joey and his crew are awesome! We have builder specific carpet in our home and needed to replace one of the rooms. He researched through the vendor and worked with me until we found the right one.His crew replaced it in a jiff! They had their process down to a science and were done quickly. They were very careful moving all the furniture and everything was clean when done.I definitely recommend First Floors for all your carpet needs!
Called on a Wednesday and told the salesman I needed floors installed ASAP as I had furniture on order and couldn't put the furniture in until the floors was installed. I was told they could get on it right away and they would have the wood ordered the next day. I was told it would take a couple of days for the wood to come in and as soon as it did it could be installed within a day or two. So I went in on Wednesday and picked up some samples.Well Thursday rolled around and my salesman had the day off. I was told he would be by the first thing Friday morning for a measurement. Fine. Well Friday morning comes and goes and the measuring guy finally shows up about 2. I was told as soon as he got back to the store he would call me and give me an estimate and would order the wood. Mind you I had already told him I was on a time crunch and every day was valuable.Well Friday evening comes and I get a call saying the salesmen hadn't had time to order my wood and it would be Monday morning before they could order. Monday morning comes and still no call. Wood still hasn't been ordered. A work order still hasn't even been wrote up. The salesman hadn't even shown up for work yet.... So I speak to a manager. He cops an attitude with me like it's my fault the wood hadn't been ordered. Mind you I was ready to order the wood, and pay in full on the Wednesday before this.I couldn't give my money away to these people. They managed to find a way to fart around every chance they got. They know they are the only game in town and just don't care. Take your money elsewhere to a smaller operation that will appreciate your business.
Unless you want your belongings thrown around and your house left in shambles, then I would suggest you go somewhere else. While our salesman was okay, it did not seem that he had control over what actually happened when the installers came. We were told that things would be put back (we would have gladly moved them if not), but as I stated, our house was left in a MESS, including dirt tracks through our kitchen. After spending hours straightening up, I went to lay in my bed and fell through to the floor because they had not put it back together properly. On top of that, I picked up carpet remnants for days. Only after my husband told that we would not pay the rest of our bill until we were satisfied, did they come out and fix our bed and fix mistakes on the carpet. Again, I am STILL picking up carpet pieces. For someone who has waited for new carpet for years, I could not be more disappointed. Through all of our complaints and frustrations, they did not once try and make it right. My husband was told "Sorry, this is just how the carpet business is." BULL.
