I had a glass window replaced in my garage door. The service tech (Dave) was very professional and great to deal with. He also conducted a functionality test to ensure the garage door was in good working order and even swapped out a couple of bolts on the track ensuring everything was properly aligned. Greatly appreciate the effort.
The updates on arrival time and service were very good. Unfortunately, I’ve been having a nightmare with my garage door getting stuck on my new home. I’ve had 4-5 service calls to fix my garage door getting stuck. One technician was correct when he said the paint never cured properly and the door kept sticking to the rubber seal. The seal was then taken off for a couple weeks to let the paint cure but it just never cured properly it looks like. Every other call after, the technician just came and replaced the seal but it’s quite obvious paint is still sticking to the seal no matter how many times the seal is replaced. Now the same issues have gone past warranty so I’m forced to figure out how to fix it on my own or they will charge me to send someone out to inspect it again. We have to click the garage door opener 10-20 times before it will move which is so frustrating everyday to go through.
Had an unexpected (aren’t they all) problem with our garage door . Called Overhead. The young lady on the phone was extremely helpful. Gave me my options, explained in detail what to expect, and booked the service. Shawn called ahead to say he was on his way. He was very polite and knowledgeable . Got right to work and had the door operating in quick order. He explained what he had done, offered tips on operation and warranties. We will certainly use this company again.
1 star for the office staff who confirmed by phone, text & email my AM appointment but then told the tech it was a PM appt. 5 stars for tech Scott Smith who upon arriving in the PM did his customary excellent job. So split the difference…
The entire experience dealing with Overhead Doors was excellent. The person on the service desk phone was very knowledgeable, understood the door issue and clearly knew her material. She provided a few options and explained the differences so I could make an informed decision. The repair technician was polite and friendly. He did a great job installing the replacement part and verified everything was working property before he left.I would highly recommend giving Overhead a call if you need a garage door serviced.
