I called Canada west with regards to a garage door opener. I had a problem programming the remote. Greg was quick to point out the issue, steered me in the right direction and the issue was solved immediately. Great staff. Great service.

Use a different company if you want the job done correctly. Canada West Garage doors failed to properly install safety stops at the back of the guide rails. They also sloped the guide rails in the wrong direction. This lead to the garage door sliding off the back of the guide rails during a manual opening. They claimed that they were not responsible since they hired a third party to do the installation. They acknowledged that the install was done incorrectly but refused to pay the cost of the repair. They claimed that since no serious damage was done there was no reason to be concerned. Below is a portion of the email I received from them:"Unfortunately, it came to this close call incident with your door/car to determine these deficiencies Fortunately no damage occurred.We recommend annual servicing of the garage door or at least inspection which would catch these type issues before they become larger problems.I had brought up the lack of safety bolt stoppers on the track and the negative pitch. The install was completed by a third party contractor who no longer works for us, so I am not able to follow up for a coaching opportunity.On a final note in regard to your invoice from Bob’s Doors, for after hours service. After discussion with management, we will not cover costs incurred."Choose a company that will stand behind their work.This isn't one of them.
My experience with Canada West Garage Doors has been outstanding. When I called in there weren’t any technicians available to come out but Carter offered to come to my home and check the door out on his lunch break. After confirming a spring was broken, he called Les who stopped in between jobs that day and set the spring replacement up. A second technician Fabian, arrived a bit later between jobs and replaced the door springs. All three men went out of their way to repair my door on the same day. Exemplary service. Outstanding people. Thank you Les, Fabian and Carter.
It seems in this day and age many large companies have forgotten about the importance of quality customer service. This is NOT the case with Canada West Garage Doors Inc. When you find a company that prides itself with giving stellar customer service you want to hang on to this company and tell everybody how good they are. My initial contact by phone with Debra was courteous and professional. She had Matt one of their technicians at my house the next day and he discovered I had a broken spring on my garage door. Two hours later I was up and running. Matt took the time to explain to me what he was doing and some of the ins and outs on garage door systems. I was very impressed with their billing approach and method of payment and lastly my bill amount was very pleasing. I strongly recommend this company. You won't be disappointed.
