Fabulous service! I got home last night around 9pm and couldn't get in the garage. I saw that I had a broken spring and called Schmitz Door Service and left a message to call me in the morning if they could. I also sent a email. This was all after around 9:30. I received a text message the next morning at 7:15 from Jamie asking if I still needed service to which I replied "yes". Jamie sent a technician (Greg) out at 8:00am and he repaired and lubed the door in less than hour!! It doesn't get any better than this! FANTASTIC! I highly recommend Schmitz Door Service!
I called Schmitz a few years ago when the spring on my main garage door failed, they did a great job with the replacement. Recently, I called them again to check out an auxiliary door that was giving me trouble. They came out promptly, did some cleaning and lubrication, but ultimately recommended replacing that spring as well (side to torsion). Decided to move forward with the repair and also upgrade the opener on my main door. They were able to come back within a day with the cost of the first visit going towards the price of the other work. Good people and good work, thanks!
Overhead Door failed to respond to my service call after two days. I emailed Schmitz and they called me back in less than five minutes. Their tech came out a couple hours later to check it out and returned the next morning to replace our opener unit. That's real customer service and I HIGHLY recommend Schmitz for any and all garage door service.
I called two other companies before emailing Schmitz. One company gave me a very high quote and the other said they would call me back with a quote, but never did. Schmitz arrived on time and replaced my springs quickly for a fair price. They were honest and did not try and upsell me on anything.
We had a mishap with our garage door (apparently you need to wait for the door to finish rising before you back out …). We called Schmitz late in the afternoon. They asked for us to text photos of the state of the garage door to see if they could get a single technician out to repair it that day. Upon receiving the photos, they determined that the repair would require multiple technicians and would need to wait until they had a crew available. They had a crew out early the next morning and had our door back on the tracks and working better than ever. The technicians were prompt, courteous, and skillful. The price of the repair pleasantly surprised us. We’re incredibly pleased with Schmitz Door Service!
