My garage door spring broke, so I called Davis Door Service and spoke with Ryan. He assured me they could fix it the next day. I even took time off work to be home for the repair. When the technician arrived, I was surprised to hear it would only be a temporary fix, and they’d have to come back later for the actual repair. That was never mentioned during my initial call. I immediately phoned back, spoke to Ryan again, and he apologized before transferring me to a manager. The manager was dismissive and explained that this is “how they operate” — temporary fix first, then a later visit for the real repair. That is not what Ryan told me. He even tried to gaslight me by saying he didn’t think Ryan would promise that, despite me hearing it directly from Ryan that same day. I had already canceled an appointment with another company that could do the job later in the week, thinking Davis Door Service would fully fix it sooner. Instead of apologizing, the manager simply said, “I’ll let Ryan know not to promise these things.” No acknowledgment of the inconvenience, the miscommunication, or the wasted time. [8/21 Update] After posting this review, the owner of Davis Door Service called to apologize for the poor service I experienced. He said they could come the next day to properly fix the door and would waive the fee for the temporary visit. Since I’m renting, the offer doesn’t really affect me, but I do appreciate that he followed up and acknowledged the miscommunication.

If I could give them 6 stars I would! Our shop was broken into last night, Davis door came out same day and put in a whole new bay door for us same day! What a relief. Thank you Jose and Hezron for your hard work! You are greatly appreciated.
