I’ve been dealing with creative for many years. The house I purchased had this very finicky overhead door garage set up. I had to replace the spring once or twice, and there is a lot of maintenance required.Just the other day, one of the cable snapped on one side. I could clearly see it was rust and corrosion causing the weak point. So I called Jody and Mike at creative, sent him some pictures, walked through what I thought it was and he saved me a ton of money to get the fix done in a timely fashion.I don’t think they made much money on this last job but clearly they value loyalty. I have no reason to call anyone else!
10/10, this is service! After getting the runaround from multiple other companies explaining how dangerous torsion springs are, trying to sell me on a service call I found creative. I’d like to say I was a little more prepared than the average diy guy already having the spring removed and measurements in thousandths of an inch. The rep on the phone was clearly a seasoned technician, was quick and clear to ask a few additional questions that got me the proper spring made same day at a price better than online. The spring was perfect and my door works flawlessly for well under $100 after my self install. If you just want knowledgeable parts sales Don’t waste your time calling others.
There is significant air leakage around both garage doors, which is clearly visible and was serious enough that the City Inspector failed the inspection. This is not a minor issue—it affects insulation, energy efficiency, and code compliance.The delay in completion is not due to site readiness, but due to improper installation and lack of sealing/weather-stripping, which remains unresolved. The attached photos clearly show visible gaps around the door perimeter.My biggest mistake was paying the full amount upfront, trusting the manager’s assurance that everything would be completed properly. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. Despite payment being made in full, the issues were not corrected, and responsibility is now being shifted instead of fixing the problem.This situation has caused unnecessary stress, inspection failure, and project delays. A professional company should stand behind their work—especially when deficiencies are confirmed by a city inspector.Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company, and I would not choose them again.
