Had a guy come out to inspect an issue with my garage door, he then proceeded to tell me my unit had short circuited & there was no other way to fix it so he quoted me for a new one at $800, had another company come & take a look & they fixed the issue, there was no short circuit & everything else was fine, any garage door tech should have been able to figure it out, Scam company trying to get money out of customers… AVOID THESE FRAUDS
***Ignore the 1 star review from user Bea J!!!***Stan from Garage Door Guys is incredible!! I wish I could give him a 10/10!! I believe Bea is mistaking Stan’s exceptional assessment and work skills of what he’s working on for something else. Stan is a very focused individual, and when he came to my home he only needed a brief explanation of what was wrong with my garage door and went right to work! He’s an expert at what he does and her perceived “annoyance” from Stan could be because she wouldn’t let him do his job and was asking him unnecessary questions or was bothering him while he was trying to work. I thought I knew what was wrong with my garage door but Stan pointed out issues that I never would have seen or considered were a potential problem. And the $147 bill is warranted Bea J- he is an EXPERT and what would take the average person hours or days to do takes him minutes. You are paying for his years and years and years of knowledge and expertise so how dare you complain about that cost Bea J. If you don’t like what he charges, then go to someone cheaper who won’t have Stan’s level of expertise and see how well your door is repaired!! Also your snarky review makes me wonder if maybe you were being rude to Stan and he was annoyed at you for your attitude and not because you’re a woman. I’m a woman and he was more than respectable, professional and kind when talking to me.Anyways, below is my experience with Garage Door Guys:Stan you are the man!! Exceptionally knowledgeable, professional and efficient at what he does. I am very happy with the services we received on our garage door when it wouldn’t close or open properly after a power outage. Stan said he would arrive some time between 10:00 - 12:00 and he came at 9:45! :)Our garage door is old (installed in 1994) and really does need to be replaced, but Stan never once pushed for an expensive installation of a new system and door. Instead he fixed it and made it actually work even better than before! He provided estimates on potential future costs for when we do eventually replace the door, tracks and motor and was very open, honest and transparent. He said that he can provide samples and work with us in the future for when we decide to pull the trigger on this very big, expensive and important upgrade to our home and I appreciated that offer.I would absolutely love to work with this company when we decide to upgrade our garage door, and will definitely be calling them again if our current one has any more issues in the future.Thank you so much Stan!!!!! You’re amazing and thank you so much for your hard work and giving us our garage back!! :D
