Bought a brand new home in the fall of 2022 with Wright Homes. Since then, I have had peeling of my LVP flooring that was not addressed until after a gruesome 8/9 months. New flooring was finally replaced (over a 3 week period) and shoe molding was placed today while I was at work (see pictures below). Also, the upstairs AC unit has not reached below 80 degrees for over a week due to a “leaking of fluid”. 0/10 would never recommend.

We searched several months for a professional, experienced home builder to build our custom dream home. Mr. Wright was the perfect choice. This was our first time building a home and we expected a project like ours to be stressful, but he made the whole process extremely easy! The speed in which he was able to build our home was incredible. The quality of materials he used and the craftsmanship of his work was impeccable. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome!! We will recommend Wright Homes every time! Thank you, Mr. Wright, for seeing our vision and delivering us our dream home!

Working with Richard and Rhonda at Wright Homes was a wonderful experience designing and building our dream home. Richard listened well during the design sessions and was able to work in all our special requests. We have a large saltwater fish aquarium and wanted some special stuff in the closet across from the great room for equipment. He worked with us making suggestions on the design to minimize costs and make the most use of the space. The workmanship of all of their subs were spectacular, especially the cabinetry. As we found concerns or issues during the construction or at the end, they were always willing to address our concerns although there weren’t many. Lastly we would say that Richard is an “old school” builder that takes pride in his work, isn’t just a sub cell phone coordinator, and was very meticulous with every detail. We would highly recommend Wright Homes to anyone wanting to design and/or build a high quality home.

First, Richard and Rhonda are very professional and easy to work with. I really love my new home, with the exception of a few minor cosmetic issues. As a 1st time home builder, I do think the communication and explanations for certain steps during the selection process could have been slower and better. I moved in my home in July and at closing I noticed several flaws in the painting. One being my garage door was scrapped really bad. Richard had the painter to come and try to fix it and a few other issues. It helped, but is still noticeable so I just dealt with it. I did a very rushed and trusting walk through(lesson learned) because within the days after I found SEVERAL flaws in painting and Sheetrock imperfections. The painter came back out, but didn’t address all of the issues. Now I’m having nails to pop out everywhere. I’ve counted at least 60 throughout the house. The paint is peeling and turning colors in several areas. I understand the house settling and minor things happening in that process. But my paint job is beyond that. It’s bad. Since I didn’t take the warranty the paint flaws aren’t covered. Even if I had taken the warranty, the nail pops aren’t covered. I wouldn’t be so dissatisfied if these things were just due to wear and tear, but they aren’t. I was also not pleased with the clean up of my lot. I didn’t do an expensive landscaping package, as we decided to do that on our own. However, instead of hauling away some of the building materials, the buried them in my lot. So we have brick, rocks, nails and all kinds of building materials that we will have to get removed before starting landscaping. Overall, my experience wasn’t a bad one. I’d just recommend a better contractor for painting and also a better way to address issues like this after the fact. Again, I am enjoying my home, it’s just frustrating when things like this happen and it costs us more money out of pocket when it could have just been done better to start.

We located Wright Homes through extensive research of Custom Home builders in the Birmingham area. during our first meeting with Richard, he walked us through the process of constructing a home on our already purchased land followed by a tour of properties he and his team recently constructed. Soon after the initial meeting we began the exciting process of designing our new home. Richard was great offering suggestions with respect to design and layout. Throughout the building process, our inquiries to Mr. Wright and his staff were met with prompt responses and issues were dealt with quickly and to our satisfaction.

We are very pleased with the finished product and look forward to spending many years in our quality built new home!
