I would say in living here that I've noticed a few troubling items that are purely the result of a lack of quality control. Keep in mind there are a number of positive aspects about the neighborhood but unfortunately the negatives over shadow them when you can't meet your clients expectations:1. You will find the lowest quality subcontractors working as the neighborhood is still under development. Nearly every construction van or truck shares three similarities: 1. Rusted out 2. At least one window missing with a bag taped over it 3. One side mirror missing. The construction workers leave trash scattered throughout the neighborhood and obviously are at the lowest end of the sophistication scale.2. The landscaping is atrocious. Dead trees are planted, the worst sod planting and maintenance you have ever seen. Please see attached pictures of a sod installation a few days after it occurred.3. You will find no accountability for any of the above. Each puzzle piece of the organizational structure that comprises this development blames the other.4. There have been streetlights out in the neighborhood for 12 months - I'm not joking.5. You will find crumpled concrete around the neighborhood bordering the sidewalks (see attached). You will also find sidewalks crumpled where construction is taking place.6. You will find mud on the streets left for the residents to clean up.7. Overall, I'm left with a very troubling feeling that quality control has literally been abandoned.Again, keep in mind there are positive aspects of the neighborhood - actually many of them - but again, when you don't meet the expectations of your clients, you will hear more negative than positive feedback. When the neighborhood itself takes over the HOA, we will quite likely be left to fix these issues ourselves. But team, lets not forget that this organizational structure still has time to put forth the effort to right these wrongs and honor their clients by bringing the quality levels back up to code. Will that happen? Only time will tell - thanks for reading!
We bought a townhome from Gramercy West - David Weekley Homes last November. The buying and closing processes were excellent. The sales and construction team works together very well and provide us their weekly update meetings and follow up emails. This builder goes extra mile to fulfill our needs. Their installation team did an awesome job every steps to exceed the home owner's expectation. Great Job! David Weekley Homes!
We've lived here since 2021. The build quality by David Weekley is ok, but nothing amazing. The workmanship in our home came with many flaws and seemingly little oversight by the construction leads. The HOA in place by DW and the developers has been a nightmare to deal with. There is little to no communication, they take the dues, and give nothing back. DW has not been of any help with trying to get the HOA in order. We're a community without proper representation and little rights. In the end, the neighborhood is in a great central location and will likely look decent in the end, but the build quality along with the subpar HOA have and will be a long term hindrance it seems. It's a good middle of the road, affordable community to buy into central Carmel.
Purchased a home from DWH a couple weeks ago & had an exceptional experience PRIMARILY due to the Property rep Silvia & builder rep Zach who demonstrated remarkably responsive communications. As with any new home, there were small items that needed attention here & there. Silvia & Zach never hesitated in conveying the highest level of professionalism & a sincere desire to ensure our satisfaction as a buyer.ZERO BUYER’S remorse.Thank you David Weekley for placing the right people in the right positions.Warm regardsksh
I will never bring another client to David weekly and I will advise colleagues to do the same. We found out the builder defectively installed the James hardy siding and instead of fixing it or working with my client they just canceled her contract. Now they are preparing to sell a defective home to an unsuspecting buyer. Buyers beware!
