Our experience with City Homes has been excellent. Our home is beautiful, and we’re extremely happy with the final result. My husband and I stopped by an open house right next to the City Homes open house in Glenridding back in November and felt rushed because they were closing at 8 pm. We then went over to the City Homes open house and met Shahmeer. Even though they were technically closing, he told us not to worry about the time and encouraged us to take our time looking through the home.Shahmeer stayed with us until close to 9 pm and answered all of our questions. He took the time to explain the full home buying process, the differences between buying a new build versus resale, HOA fees, and the pros and cons of the communities we were interested in. He was very objective, never pushy, and genuinely helpful.We were so impressed that we passed his contact information to our daughter’s realtor. They connected and are now working together on securing a house for her in Edgemont. Shahmeer was kind, respectful, and extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
It has not even been one year since I moved into this home, and I am already experiencing serious problems with the floor level across the entire house. The floors are not even, and this has caused noticeable height differences and gaps in multiple areas, including where the living room stairs meet the main floor and where the kitchen flooring meets the cabinets.This is not a simple finishing issue. It appears to be a fundamental construction problem where the flooring was not installed properly. A brand-new home should never have such uneven floor levels. I can feel the slope when walking, it affects furniture placement and interior layout, and I am very concerned that this may lead to more serious structural issues over time.I have reported these concerns several times, but the company has been slow to respond and has not provided any clear solution. It is extremely disappointing that even the basic standards one should expect from a new home were not met.The money I paid does not justify this defective and poorly executed construction. If this is the level of quality they provide, selling homes in this condition is unacceptable.
We had such a wonderful experience working with Mr. Shahmeer at City Homes!He was extremely helpful, professional, and approachable during the entire home-buying process.His colleague Mr. Rav also provided excellent support during our home visit and always took the time to explain things clearly.Both Shahmeer and Rav are immensely helpful and patient with clients and will certainly be asset for City Homes.We highly recommend both to anyone looking for a new home!
It was a fantastic experience building with City Homes it was not.Had the opportunity to build with City Homes and we loved the ability to semi custom the floor plan.We had some floor plan customization that has been missed during the building process which we let it slide. Barely had any site visits during the building process. We let this slide because they were already a few months behind schedule.Took possession of the house and this is where the experience went down hill.Custom siding keeps bowing again and again even after multiple warranty claims. Now that we are out of warranty, they won’t assist us anymore even if it is the same defect from the beginning.Siding section in the front porch leaks when it rains even if it has roofing above. Same thing, fixed again and again during the warranty period yet it keeps coming back.Custom flooring keeps moving and gapping even with multiple warranty claims (house is not in warranty anymore so I suppose we are also out of luck on this too.How is the customer supposed to be on their own when these issues were already present during the early months of possession.Heck, even car dealerships are better than this where if it is a known issue that keeps going back even the after getting it fixed, and without warranty, they will still help you.Buyer beware.
