If I could give 10 stars I would.Steve has demonstrated over and over that he is a man of integrity, keeps his word and follows through to see that we were taken care of. We purchased a new 4 bedroom home from him with Matt and his team worked diligently to get us through the process to get all our financing done and close in 15 days and on the day we needed to be able to move in right away.Great communication and helping us through all the steps with ease.Where do you see that happen?When I say it seemed sweat-less and stress free, that’s an understatement.I would recommend and do recommend anyone looking to get into a new home, look no further.We love our new home inside and out. The extra wide driveway so our car doors aren’t hitting each other is nice. Welcome Home???The view from my back porch the day after closing. These photos represent how I felt working with Hawkins Homes during this build. Not only did I have to clean my home (inside and out), but I had to pick trash out of the yard and mow it, too. What should have been a happy day reminded me of all the work I needed to do to move into my "brand new home."If you are not in a hurry to move; if you don't have standards; or you like being lied to...then you will not mind this builder. Otherwise, BUYER BEWARE!After the sales pitch, this build was a struggle from start to finish.
Worst home building experience ever... Our first impression was that this company cared, but once we brought up things promised to us, and they realized they could get a boat load more money if we backed out, it was all downhill from there... We've been in the house for about 4 months, and we've had multiple issues, but since this one is fresh I though I'd share (I was afraid to complain about the other issues until the 1 year warranty period ended, but I now realize we won't be getting any support so why not start now). So according to GC, the attached pictures reflect a proper draining property... Funny that no other neighbors around us are having this issue. Love this company! My advice to anyone looking to build a home, choose anyone else and run far far away from the Hawkins.
We have built five custom homes with Hawkins Custom Homes. Each has been of superior quality. Their crews are detailed, polite, and timely. They work together with the homeowner to achieve exactly what they want. This is a family run business who truly cares about the quality and workmanship they put out. We just can't say enough, other than hopefully they will be building our next home!
