We purchased a home in Oakville last March and hired Alair Construction to assist with a substantial renovation which included a complete remodel of the principal bathroom and main level powder room, painting the entire house, redoing the hardwood flooring upstairs, ceiling scraping and pot light installation through many rooms of the house, and sanding/staining both the main level and basement staircases. We had the benefit of a long closing date (+120 days), which gave us lots of time to work with the Alair team to thoughtfully plan the reno. Our dealings with co-owners (Mark & Matt) was top-notch from start to finish. The day after we closed on the house, Mark/Matt had teams lined up to start the demolition and ceiling scraping. They had committed to getting all the messy and highly disruptive stuff done over the first several weeks, knowing that our family was going to be moving into the house the following month. We were thoroughly impressed with not only the quality of the work done over the course of the renovation, but also all the extra precautions Alair took while working in the house through the pandemic. The renovation was finished on the agreed timeline and within the planned budget. Both Mark and Matt were very responsive to any questions/concerns we had along with the way, and were always 100% transparent with any issues that arose during the renovation.

We absolutely loved working with Alair's designer, Tania Faria. Tania helped us come up with the remodel plan for both bathrooms, and assisted us in selecting paint colours for the rest of the house. While neither me or my wife have a good eye for design, Tania was excellent at getting a sense of what we liked and then coming up with a shortlist of recommendations for us to pick from. Also can't say enough about Alair's lead carpenter (who is also named Matt). He was absolutely fantastic, going above and beyond on not only the scope of the project that we agreed to, but also assisting with a lot of other projects that required a skilled carpenter.

We would 100% recommend Alair Construction, and will be using them again in the foreseeable future to help us with a second planned renovation.

When looking to renovate our late 1980s home we were a bit nervous of finding the right person for the job. Mark and Matt Chuba with Alair Homes in Oakville was highly recommended to us by our interior designer who had worked with them on numerous projects. On that recommendation we met with Mark and Matt and were immediately impressed with their professionalism, the Alair model, and their ability to set us at ease and answer our millions of questions.

It was an easy decision to hire Alair to do a main floor renovation while we lived in the house. Every person that came into the house from demolition to completed project was extremely professional and personable. Our project came in on time and on budget which impressed us very much.

When we decided a year later to do the upstairs, including our main staircase there was no hesitation to call on Mark Chuba again. We experienced the same confidence as our first experience with Mark and the Alair team.

I won't lie and say we never had issues as every project is going to have issues. However, the amount of planning that went into each project prior to even starting helped tremendously to trouble shooting any issues ahead of time. When there was an unforeseen issue that cropped up Mark and Matt were right on it and didn't rest until things were set right and made sure that WE were satisfied with the solution.

Skip ahead 1.5 years later and we had to call on Mark again as there was an issue with our dishwasher panel. He responded in his usual cheerful and professional way and assured us that all cost would be covered by their 2 year guarantee.

It has been a pleasure dealing with Mark Chuba and the Alair team. We have always found Mark to be approachable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable.
