Recent reviews are mixed. Positive feedback cites helpful sales and design staff, clear communication during transactions, and satisfaction with floor plans in specific communities. Critical reviews mention construction quality concerns, slow or protracted repairs, and communication gaps after closing. Prospective buyers often highlight the importance of thorough walkthroughs and clear expectations on timelines and options.
Stylecraft lacks basic customer service and effective communication. My concerns were neither acknowledged nor properly addressed. The quality of construction is disappointing, including serious issues such as cracks in the foundation. I was also surprised by the high HOA fees, which I find excessive for what is provided. I am relieved to no longer be associated with this company. If you are looking for a well-built, quality home, I would strongly recommend considering other options.
Before we moved in, we had a raw sewage backup in the master bathroom. A plumbing camera inspection revealed construction debris (rags and pieces of tarp) had been flushed and lodged in the line. Flooring, trim, and the vanity kick plate had to be removed and replaced in the entire bathroom, linen closet and toilet closet. Repairs took 17 weeks.Since closing, we have dealt with numerous additional issues (these are only a few):- Improperly sealed and insulated window framing that led to condensation and mold growth (nearly $8,000 paid in professional remediation, air scrubbing, testing, and repairs). StyleCraft refuses to reimburse us for this.- Drainage defects that caused water to rise up the brick foundation. Mortar cracked and bricks detached from the foundation ($2,850 paid out to correct this because StyleCraft refused to fix it or reimburse us for it).- LVP flooring replaced in a large portion of the home for various reasons. Floor boards were cut too short and are separating from walls. The quarter round does not touch the floor in several rooms.- All granite countertops (island, kitchen and stop & drop) are uneven and the island top was also put on crooked. The beveled edges are inconsistent and some are very sharp. All was reported during the warranty period and ignored. The granite company told us after the fact that they had a 1-year craftsmanship warranty and would have fixed the counters had StyleCraft told them about it.- Scratched and damaged cabinetry, including the molding at the top of the cabinets. Molding unsecured and fell off.- Closet shelving installed without anchoring into studs that collapsed and badly damaged the drywall ($5,800 paid out for major drywall repairs, painting and new closet system).- Overloaded electrical circuits- Severe HVAC temperature inconsistencies- At 2-year warranty check - 559 nail pops and drywall cracks marked, only 189 were repairedMany issues were reported during the warranty period. Concerns were deferred, minimized, or later categorized as homeowner responsibility. The mold issue was especially concerning. We reported ongoing window moisture issues years earlier and were dismissed. Mold was later discovered within the wall and behind the window trim. The mold exposure directly affected my health and required professional remediation and repair. This home was supposed to be our long-term residence. Instead, it has resulted in repeated repairs, substantial financial loss, and serious health impact. In addition, I live with a progressive nerve condition that is significantly worsened by prolonged stress, and the years of unresolved defects and repair disputes have aggravated that condition.Attempts to escalate matters to the VP of construction and the company owner were ignored. I even submitted a 9-page bullet point list of issues broken down by room to the owner, which was not acknowledged. We were lied to repeatedly by sales and the project manager. Prospective buyers should conduct independent inspections at every phase of construction and ensure all representations and repair commitments are in writing before closing. Based on our experience, we do not recommend StyleCraft.
My clients and I had a great time purchasing a new construction home with Gina Fusco & Stylecraft Homes. Gina & Stylecraft were fantastic to work alongside throughout the entire process. From beginning to end, they kept us informed and up to date during the transaction and home build. The Overlook @ Hancock Village community is exactly what my Buyers were looking for and we could not be any happier with the finished product! Also a BIG thank you to the community's construction manager, Lance, for also going above and beyond for us!Thank you Gina and everyone @ Stylecraft Homes. Cheers,Joseph KingRealtor
My husband and I purchased our new home in Greenwich Walk a year ago with StyleCraft. It is one of the best decisions we ever made. We love our new home so much! The floorplan is perfect for us and we were able to choose the most amazing features in their design center. The whole team, from Brooke, the sales person, to Andrew who built our home, to Caitlin and Sarah in the design center were wonderful to work with. They made building a new home easy, and a pleasure. We are excited to spend many happy years in our new home. I would definitely recommend StyleCraft to build your dream home!
Trying to "customize" the new home has been a nightmare! Unfortunately, they do not want to deviate from their plans. There are so many design flaws that it would be hard to outline all of them here. These are some examples of poor design...under sink cabinet usage, small glass surround shower with safety issue of glass going to floor (can't use a shower mat)and definitely can't get wheelchair into this shower, window in master bath (great to see your neighbors, but useless as a window). Not pictured is the tiny laundry room and kitchen layout. The kitchen pantry is a semicircle design which will require professional cabinetry installation to be useable space. The front bedroom has too many windows & can only fit a queen bed and narrow dresser, whereas the flex room has only 1 off-center window, which creates wall-space issues. When asked about adding windows, the answer is "NO" it will compromise the wall integrity, so very little natural light. One of the worst design issues is the patio room, which is extremely small and doesn't face your backyard area, but faces your next door neighbor - why???Frustration is an understatement and I would NOT recommend them as a builder
