I had a great experience with Faber Builders. I've been working with them for a few months now post move-in and the entire process for us went just as expected and as hoped for. As a previous homeowner, I consider myself to be a realistic one in terms of warranties and home responsibilities. I loved that I got to customize my home in so many different ways vs. what I was met with when I consulted with other builders. Their people and their service was fantastic and I'd recommend them to anyone considering building a home in the Rochester area.
Do your research before building with Faber. For those that are building a house in Riverton, Chili or Webster….just know that you will not get quality work and Faber will not finish your neighborhood when the last house closes. And when you do close on your house they write you off and pretend you never existed. We have lived in Queens Park in Henrietta for almost 3 years and our neighborhood has been done for 2 years, we still have very unfinished roads, gutters and sidewalks. It has been nearly impossible to have them finish anything.Faber “finishes” a job and jumps the next one without having completed everything to begin with.If anyone wants more examples of Bernie and his lovely crew cutting corners and not finishing their work…feel free to ask me.
One star rating. Don’t take my word for it though. In fact…look at the amount of negative reviews I have left on Google.I cannot stress this enough. Before building with Faber; walk the neighborhood of Queens Park in West Henrietta and talk to anyone that lives there. I started to write my list of issues I have had with this company….and it’s a book. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.I have gone the whole summer without air conditioning in a 3-year old house as my final straw. My wife and I are at our wits end. They claim to care about customer satisfaction. Their actions say otherwise. They blame their contractors. They blame their suppliers. No accountability.Never have they met a deadline with us….or followed up on something without us reminding them 2-3 times. With this company their is nothing but excuses. Especially after they have your money. Then it’s really over with them delivering on anything.Run the other way if you are building a new house!
Faber Builders were great to work with. They were prompt, responsive, and showed genuine interest in what we wanted in our new home. There were a few missed touch-ups that were necessary after move in, and even our first few months living in our home, but Ray found time in his schedule to come make it right for us.. and that spoke volumes to their dedication to us as their customers. I'd recommend their company to anyone interested in moving to the Rochester area.
My wife Wanda and I have consistently received above and beyond customer service from Faber. There are not many organizations where the CEO (Bernie) makes an intentional effort to check in with the people who purchased Faber homes. The entire Faber family from Anthony, Ray, the seeding and grading team, project manager, Claridge, contractors, and Faber Headquarters go out of their way just to be good to all customers. One of the best decisions my wife and I have ever made as first time home buyers was choosing Faber. We are truly blessed abundantly!!Michael and Wanda S.
