After 3 years of living in our Gerber-built home I feel I can leave an accurate and helpful review. We LOVE our home more than we ever imagined!! We interviewed 3 builders before deciding to go with Gerber. We felt they had a great balance of being affordable with good quality. There was a higher end builder we almost went with but in the end we’re very happy with our choice. It took about 7 months from dig-date to certificate of occupancy for Gerber to build our custom home and about 10 months from when put our deposit down. We found Mike and Danielle easy to work with during those months. Some of the businesses Gerber had us pick out our finishing items weren’t as easy but we made it work. Be prepared for lots of appointments if you want to have a day in every detail of the finished product! The finished product is a gorgeous house. 3 years of living here and we’ve had nearly no settling or nail pops. The house and all the interior looks perfect even now. No issues of any kind in 3 years. We did lots of upgrades which added quite a bit of cost but to this day we are SO PLEASED with every upgrade. Every day we mention how much we enjoy our house. I’d like to make a special mention of John, the owner. We found him to be especially terrific to work with and very honest. At the end of our build he realized he had over budgeted our fill costs and sent us a check for $5,000. We truly appreciated working with a company that values integrity and quality. Gerber Homes understands that a house is one of the biggest investments in your life. We chose to place our trust in Gerber Homes to build our home, and we are SO pleased with the job they did. Our home is lovely and beautiful and we couldn't be happier. Gerber Homes is a local, family owned and operated business with years of experience, and it's very evident they take pride in what they do. Everyone on the Gerber team was extremely accessible and available to discuss any and every care and concern we had as their customers. Doug in Sales was great with helping us find a floor plan and lot that fit our needs/desires and our price range. Danille in the office was always very informative and courteous, and handled our concerns with grace and patience; she even gave us weekly updates so we always felt like we were informed about the progress of our home. Mike the Super was very attentive to detail and put a LOT of effort into making sure all punch list items were taken care of. John is the Owner/Partner and he genuinely cares about the homes he builds and his customers who will live in those homes. We had some delays with the utilities, which was frustrating, but it was entirely out of Gerber's control and NOT their fault! If we ever felt like there was an "issue" we were always able to speak to someone on the Gerber team, and it was resolved quickly and reasonably. We definitely recommend this company and are very thankful for all the time, effort, and attention to detail that went into constructing our new home. Finally, Hannah and Nicole at the office helped us with options for Gerber's rental and storage solutions, both of which we utilized while we waited for construction of our home to be completed. We are very happy with our Gerber Homes experience! The quality of our home is quite good. We did have a couple of issues that were quickly addressed! The Gerber owners and staff were great to work with! We truly believe that they cared about delivering on their commitment to us! There isn’t a lot more to say other than we feel very good about choosing Gerber Homes!

We were excited to build our dream home, but this process has been anything but fun. From the very start, the contractors were very rough to work with. The electrician in particular was extremely argumentative. We informed him that he installed one of our lights upside down, and he refused to fix it. My husband had to do it. The grouting along all of our countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms looks awful. Crumbly and uneven- we just moved in 2 months ago and it looks 10 years old. There is paint overspray everywhere. When we stopped by one day for 5 minutes to drop off stair stain for the painters (that they requested we bring over), Danille immediately sent us a nasty email telling us to stay away from the house. What?? Our sump pump has not stopped running since we moved in, resulting in an enormous lake of water forming in our backyard. Our doorbell has still not been installed, 2 of our master bath fans do not work, and our flooring is already warped. Again, it’s been 2 months since we moved in. And yet every time we try to contact Danille from Gerber, she refuses to come to the phone, doesn’t return messages, and don’t email back for at least a week, if not longer, if at all. I am beyond frustrated with the lack of professionalism, from Danille in particular. I wish we had done more research on other companies.
