Robert from Garbett was very helpful and accommodating throughout our home buying journey. Since this is our first home, the weight of this decision was immense and we really strived for that ideal first impression, which is exactly what we got. Now, even more important was solid support and issue handling after the purchase. We bought a home in the Mill community and their maintenance team led by Trent was always quickly addressing any post-move in concern that we had. So no need to worry about “sell and forget” attitude. Their homes come with one year warranty and so far all requests were addressed.Quality wise, the home is solid: piping, insulation, materials are there to last.Again, everybody’s experience might differ and I can imagine there might be issues along the way for all the prospective buyers, considering that a house is the most important investment for most of us. To me it’s more about the readiness and willingness of the builder to guide you and help you along the way, and Garbett homes nailed it. ??
Garbett has been an amazing builder. My wife and I have been following their builds since they've built my brother's place back in 2013. There are only a few minor warranty items that the Garbett team have been assisting with greatly. Would 100% recommend this builder which our real estate agent has stated a much more positive experience working with Garbett than other builders.
Our experience with our Garbett home in Utah has been a nightmare. A nightmare that just won’t go away. We had a leak in our master shower that ran down through our kitchen ceiling and was pouring out of a light fixture. At first they just wanted to caulk it, but I persuaded them to look into the problem deeper. They found that the tile shower had been done completely wrong, and there was no water-proof barrier. It was a pain working with the Garbett warranty (team of only 2) and took about 1 month to finish and get our shower back. Then we had 3 leaks in our unfinished basement. 3 different cracks on several walls where water was getting through. Our backyard doesn’t drain correctly and so we had to buy a little sump pump from Amazon to drain water out of our backyard “pond” everytime it rains or even after our sprinklers are on. All of the constant water build up has killed several of our trees so far. The water also stinks as it sits there and is a hazard for our two kids under 4 years of age. We’ve been complaining about this for the last 9 months that we’ve been living here, but they refuse to fix it ( they finished our landscaping AFTER they made us close on the house, so we didn’t know that they would be digging a ditch back there). On top of all of this, we were told our home would be done in October 2023 but got done much faster and they gave us a closing date of July 2023. Which usually would be a good thing but we weren’t told this until 5 weeks before the new closing date and we still needed to get our house on the market and sell our former home. My wife was 8 months pregnant and I had to take time off work to get things ready. Our realtor asked for some more time as did we, but they wouldn’t budge ( they gave us 2-3 days grace is all). Our realtor said she’d never seen a company do this before. We would not have purchased this home from Garbett if we knew all of the problems that would transpire- all within 9 months of closing.
Not only does Garbett build great homes, they care about you during the whole building process. Garbett always kept me and my family in mind and went to work for me with every concern I had. I genuinely recommend buying a Garbett home.Thank you,Mike
I can not say enough good things about our experience with Garbett Homes. Once they started construction I received weekly phone calls with updates. Every member of the Garbett team I met was professional and even kind. They are a very approachable and patient team of people. They answered all my questions throughout the process and treated all my concerns as top priorities. They are quite accessible and easy to reach. They have guidelines and preconceived plans for certain aspects of the home but they were as flexible as possible and really bent over backward to make us happy. We always felt like our concerns were heard and every measure was taken to ensure we would love our home. We have been in our home 6 weeks and have still have had help fixing or touching up things and getting help understanding how to manage our first home. Trent and Marcus are amazing! I'm thrilled with our experience. I would use Garbett Homes again with no hesitation and I recommend them to all.
