I’ve lived in Legacy for 13 years and a couple of plumbers have said how horrible the plumbing job was that they were surprised that my house passed inspection. The bathtub spigot literally shot off the wall once and they took their sweet time fixing it; I should have sued them then! Ever since then, it’s been one problem after another. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company!
My grandparents purchased a brand new home in “The Preserve” neighborhood in south bossier built by this company.The poor pad leveling and drainage has caused standing water to reside in their back yard weeks after rains. The brick mortar around the entire property is cracking, the drywall tape and float inside is coming apart at the seams in several places. The can lights in the kitchen are not laid out symmetrically and none of the romex in the attic is legally strapped. The wiring in the attic is bundled together using cut pieces of romex. There were piles of excess mortar on the front porch, driveway, and back porch. The tree they planted in the front yard never took root and was dead from original construction. The siding around the soffit has become unfastened in more than one place and had to be re-Attached by myself. It’s frustrating being in construction knowing how it’s supposed to be done then watching your grandparents overpay for a home that’s held together with duct tape.
I should've had a beautiful home for years to come. $250k home, not only 5 years old, and the bricks were cracking around me. They took 2 years to replace the bricks, said the foundation was fine, but now all the bricks around Ann almost 2k square foot home are falling and cracking. The pillars on my back porch were improperly installed and fell over causing more damage to my residence in the last storm.I am going to have to refinance my home, just to afford an attorney to sue SHB. When you call them, it takes weeks to months for them to come out to your residence. Then they will send some 20 year old guy that doesn't know tiles from tree tops. I've even had to replace the garage door opener system already and found out the wires in the walls were bad. They rigged the wires up by drilling holes they supporting 2x4s. Then covering the wiring in the ceiling with layers of other 2x4s and plywood.
My experience was great with everything going on! Moving from a different state and COVID-19 did not help but I still say it was great even through there were struggles. SHB have been trying their best to get these homes together. So many companies are struggling and the home building and products being short or not able to get is a major issue. It's not SHB fault! My home came out beautiful and I'm thankful for all the people involved that made it happen. Daniel especially has been awesome to work with. Stop complaining and be thankful!
