Woodland Custom Home Builders

DO NOT let Woodland build your home! What started out as excitement, quickly turned to disappointment and regret. There are twisted 2x4's in the faming, electrical that wasnt done properly, leaky plumbing, doors that arent plumb and you can see through to the outside and water gets in, and too many more things to list! When we voiced our concerns, their response was always "we arent done yet", you have a warrant", or "LIVE WITH IT"! They dont stand behind their warranty, and ignore calls and emails. Save your money and sanity and go with any other builder! Woodland is NOT a good builder. They care more about quantity and money than they do building a quality house!

BEWARE! We Purchased a home built by Woodland Custom Homes 2.5 years ago in Toledo. The 305,000$ home is already having issues due to poor work and quality control. Issues involve; screws popping out of the subfloor that are now protruding through the carpet in many places, laminate flooring popping in numerous areas, leaks in the basement through the foundation, shower base is rocking due to poor install, windows leaking when it rains (had a professional come out and fix it, only to find out that Woodland had installed windows without inspecting them)(windows were never sealed properly from the factory, but still installed by Woodland). I tried to communicate with Woodland in regards to making things right, and fixing the issues but they insisted that; since the house is past its 1 year warranty, they will not do anything about the issues. Woodland is a builder that chooses quantity over quality. If you only wish to get a year out of your 300,000$+ home, without major issues, than Woodland is whom to hire. We were under the expectations that a new home built by Woodland Custom meant less problems, but so far its the opposite. If you want quality and craftsmanship, look elsewhere. Currently out thousands because were constantly fixing up a house built less than 3 years ago by Woodland. We were looking for our dream home, and got a nightmare.

My experience with Woodland Custom Homes was exceptional from start to finish. Jon, the builder, stood out for his honesty and fairness. He communicated clearly about any and all pricing and adhered strictly to his quoted numbers… which allowed the home building process to be enjoyable and without surprises. The online software used to track the project timeline and overall costs was a fantastic tool, keeping us informed and minimizing any potential misunderstandings. Tim, the project manager, along with office contacts Tracy and Andrea, were all very supportive and knowledgeable. We had a custom floor plan with unique finishes, and Woodland went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. At the beginning of the project we interviewed several builders and couldn’t be happier with our decision to go with Woodland. The quality of our home is outstanding and they even included additional features along the way at no extra cost to ensure everything was perfect. We absolutely love our New Home!!! ??Building with Woodland Custom Homes was truly a great experience, they made customizing our Floor Plan fun and everything turned out exactly how we had hoped! The entire Team was great to work with and I want to send a huge shout out to Jon, Andrea, Tracey, Joe, and Ashland who made the process so easy, always available when we had questions, and great to be around! After meeting with numerous builders to construct our forever home, we luckily were able to find Woodland Custom Homes and never looked back. I wanted to write this review a few months after being in the home and can say everything is better than imagined! After sitting down with Jon and Andrea we felt our home was in good hands and they took a personal interest in building our home as if it were their own. Being a younger couple building our first home and never been through this process before Woodland treated us with kindness and respect through the whole process and really took the time to walk us through the entire project, especially our project manager Joe. Building in the wake of covid there was alot to he concerned about but Woodland was always there to answer my MANY questions and concerns. I'm glad we went with Woodland for our forever home and would recommend them to anyone looking for a very personable experience throughout the entire process. Building a home can be a stressful process but Woodland made it exciting and fun from start to finish.
