Highland homes!I have to start off by saying that building with Highland took all of the stress away and concerns we had seen that this was our first major build as a couple. We’ve owned many homes, but decided to relocate for our retirement and Build who does this well we did it and it has been a dream come true. I have to start with Darren Cohen in the office. He walked us through every process every dollar and didn’t miss a beat then working with Dexter Warfield has been just outstanding. He took all of the concerns that we had seeing that we had to come back-and-forth from Michigan to Texas for all of the stages of our build until we finally relocated here( from inspections to completion ahead of time) Dexter never once told us we couldn’t come out to our home site not only that he made sure that when we needed measurements or we had questions about things promptly answered. The real STAR is our realtor. Tamika Harrison, she partners with Highland and she knew when we first started this process that this is exactly the perfect fit for us and she was absolutely correct. I cannot give Highland enough A+ and also cannot say thank you to the whole Highland team.
Update: 12/24/2023:This house is ridiculous, roof is leaking, brick mortar is cracking, fascia to trim roof line is missing. Bathroom counter peeling. What is next. See updated photos. Poor quality is an understatement.Update: 8/2/2023: Save yourself money and frustration. Poor quality. In home now for almost 6 months and dealing with issue after issue, see photos. Added the fact that warranty tickets are not addressed timely. Waiting two months to repair door jam master bath. Gutter repair was terrible. Sprinklers have had to be addressed multiple times. Ridiculous. Original post: Waxahachie TX: Pandemic quality. Beware don’t be tricked by quality of model home. You will not get model home quality. I call my home the crooked home, walls crooked, baseboards crooked, cabinet drawers chipped and off track, counters severely scratched, driveway stained with paint and gunk, just to name a few. Totally disappointing. 3/29- added more photos, unreal check out the floor.4/10: Still waiting on replacement towel holders for two bathrooms.4:18: Still waiting on response: towel holders, trim paint, brick mortar, kitchen island seam, just to name a few.
I worked mostly with Darren and Dexter through my new build process. They were both amazingly helpful and professional. They are so generous and made sure this process was a smooth sail. I also worked with other staff at Dove Hollow and they were all also very professional and helpful. Highland homes is an amazing builder and I would definitely purchase another home with them. I love my home so much!!!
