By far the best company I’ve worked with in Central Oregon. Every experience I have had with them has been pleasant and professional, whether it’s by phone, email, or in person. Today I had an issue with my heat/thermostat, within 30 minutes of my call someone was at my house to address the issue. They really care about their customers and do an amazing job.
These guys have done such a great job over the years at both our house and business. From basic maintenance to new systems at both locations. A great company with great employees!
Tri County Climate had installed equipment in my new home and I was unable to find the model and serial numbers to register my equipment. They came out and not only helped me find the numbers but explained a couple other things to me. The tech was very helpful and patient, especially to a widow who was trying to figure things out. I highly recommend them.
I don't take the time to write reviews unless service is exceptional - or there is a consumer beware situation. In this case, no, I do not recommend TriCounty. After what was supposed to be routine cleaning by another company, the tech (from the other company) found the furnace and A/C elements were pushed together/intertwined (behind a panel that had been glued on by TriCounty) and the furnace actually needed to be pulled out and properly configured/reinstalled. TriCounty was the installer of the furnace in our 2021 (new construction at the time) home. The TriCounty owner was resistant and showed little interest or concern, even with the written report from the other company. His employee did schedule a reinstall which took a day. When the tech left after the reinstall the heat wasn't working properly, the fans were operating incorrectly, and there was a small gas leak. TriCounty was notified, but waited 3 days to return for those repairs...after that repair, there was an even stronger gas leak. We called the gas company because it was a strong enough to be concerned, and the gas company found a poorly, just "hand-tightened" part on the furnace that was the source. TriCounty (even on the 2nd install) taped one of the front panels onto the furnace that is supposed to be removable for maintenance. If you had them do an install and one of the front panels is taped closed, I highly recommend you get a second opinion to make sure things are in order. Other important findings: One of the temperature sensors inside the furnace was in the wrong place causing our furnace to cycle on & off every 2 minutes. Other settings were incorrect so the repaired furnace still wasn't heating properly. My recommendation is if you have had an HVAC system installed by this company that you have another company come inspect their work before your warranty is up, because EVEN IF THEY DIDN'T INSTALL IT ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURER SPECS IN THE FIRST PLACE you may get the same answer we just received - that we have to pay for them to do any further work to get things running correctly. We are not comfortable with them being on site again due to the gas leaks. Our experience was an improper installation, adjustments to the equipment that seemed to lack understanding, poor safety, slow communication that really just feels calculated to document their files. Absolutely not the "treat your family like our family" claim they make on their website.
Kris was really helpful today in troubleshooting and identifying the root cause of an issue we’ve had with our furnace since moving in. The whole team was incredibly helpful this week too, in trying all the things to get the issue figured out and escalating the concern to get it resolved. We really appreciate Kris and his graciousness and the whole team’s help!
