I was having issues with my heat pump. I had used Awl Tec before for a new motor on this same system with no issues.It was December and I run a daycare in house so heat is important and they got Casey out to fix me up as quick as he could. He did, he is plesant and professional and put in a new motor. He also stated i had a small leak of coolant but not to worry. Few days later there was crazy banging, they sent out another man with a trainee-he fixed the banging (piece of tubing he cut out) - i explained the aux heat was coming on which is very rare- je mansplained and gave me the old lady treatment. (Ive beenin this home since 2007, I think I know what is normal and not, but ok)He goes away and a few days later I am still having issue with the aux heat- and same man and trainee come back- he mansplains some more and when I INSIST he goes back to check on it he says "you have no coolant and your unit needs to be replaced."So I spent just under 1400 for a new motor in a unit I must replace, I see. "Well talk to the boss, maybe he'll cut you a deal- but we didnt charge you for the 2 extra visits "(gee thanks). I did call the office and explained to Josie what happened and asked her for a quote for a new pump (I was very upfront that I would not be using them, but thought it was the least they could do providing I've now been 6 weeks with no heat pump and children in the home daily) but no reply. So, if you are a widow with a daycare, or even if you're not, I do not recommend them.
Do not use this company. I called them because I got 2 different diagnosis of my heat pump from other companies. They were here 10 minutes before telling me it works perfectly. I told them wait 5-10 minutes and it will stop working. They refused and when I talked to Rick about it, he refused to let me explain the issue, yelled at me and started attacking my character repeatedly. I was calm and polite but in disbelief. Intimidation tactics on dissatisfied customers is unprofessional. He needs professional help with his anger. They charged more than any other company and did not diagnose anything. They won't come back unless I paid them again. Pay them again for more bad service? No but after being treated so disrespectfully, I won't go back and will let others know who badly I and my heat pump were treated.
New to town. Wanted to put in a heat pump for our new house. The team at awl tech got us hooked up. Matt came by to finish the installation and was really professional and knew his stuff. He walked us through everything about the units. I would highly recommend them.
I called Awl Tech because my blower on my 5 year old Carrier furnace had gone. They came by and confirmed it was the blower. I then got a call the next day telling me that the motors were so back ordered that it wouldn’t be fixed for 8 months. I also had the option to buy a whole new furnace. All of this information was incorrect as I called another contractor and it was fixed in a week with a new motor. 100’s in stock. I would never use this company in a million years.
Adam promptly arrived to figure out what was not working correctly in our heat pump/gas furnace system. It took him mere seconds to find the problem and immediately did the necessary repairs. As a bonus, he also did a quick service/checkup on the heat pump and recommended steps we could take to make things work better. Adam was wonderful to work with, courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. We are very pleased.
