Great service. Tech was very knowledgeable and showed attention to detail. Took pictures and explained the work performed. Most companies do work and hand you a vague report. Smart Heating and AC is very thorough. Will more than likely use service again.

I had a mostly good experience , here is a synopsis. Our furnace blower stopped functioning the day before Christmas. I was very happy that Juan was able to come out that day and diagnose the problem. The service call was $99. They said they had a part in stock and could install it on 12/26 and the price seemed reasonable. I would have preferred to get a quote that separated the cost of the labor from the cost of the part so I could know how much I was paying for each. They came on the 26th and did the repair and the service seemed professional. The only downside was that they didn’t test the thermostat function completely prior to leaving so that when I tried to turn off the heater 20 minutes later it would not go off. They had set up a bypass and did not realize it was still in place when they left. We had to power down the furnace with the switch on the furnace and wait for them to return, which they did. So my only suggestion would be to make sure all the components are functioning correctly prior to finishing the repair. Other than that it was a good experience.

Juan was friendly, on time, respectful, and efficient at servicing my SMART furnace system. He detected a water leak in a pipe and fixed that and also connected an older Nest thermostat to my in-house Google system. I was able to connect a new model but not this older one. I’m very impressed by the work the SMART does, from first contact with their phone representatives to the final job.

Our (now-)previous 16 y/o Rheem HVAC system started showing it's age recently, so we decided to replace it (for that and other reasons). Despite being improperly sized and installed by a different company, it had a good run. I switched to Smart Heating and AC for our servicing and maintenance a couple years ago, and have been so happy with them, I knew they were the ones I wanted for a new system too! They are always on time, professional, knowledgeable, and come with such honesty and integrity, and for the install of the new system, nothing was any different. They installed a new Goodman Heat Pump system + new water heater, and all their work was so cleanly done, and you can see much of that from the included pictures. They put in a nice new air-handler breaker in the garage where none had been before and patched up that (and similar) wall-work so nicely. They also went above and beyond and also added new Intermatic surge protectors at both that breaker and the breaker for the outside heat pump (the part where the shining green LED is coming from). They added extra straps too + wrapped and taped up the new ducting so cleanly as well. There was a lot of suboptimal (to put it nicely) work done by the previous system installers, which they corrected. It was a lot of work going from a traditional simple single stage gas furnace and single-function outside AC condenser unit to a fully communicating variable HEAT PUMP HVAC system, but they finished after about 9 hours, and the system has been fantastic so far since! It was also nice going from a janky "behind the wall" in-the-basement MERV 8 return air filter setup from the previous install job, to a properly-installed under the air-handler MERV 15 system, which will result in a massive improvement in air quality (& filter change convenience). The actual outdoor heat pump is about 1/2 the size of the previous AC condenser unit, yet does both heating and cooling functions for the home AND is also very quiet, about 1/4th the sound level of the previous AC condenser unit it replaced. Plus, the inside temperature is now just a solid stable temperature throughout the house, whereas there would be much larger swings in temperature, especially room-to-room before. It also came with a super nice, full-featured, cloud-connected thermostat with a great app to control everything so easily from anywhere. In short, so far we are thrilled with everything about the install work AND new system! I want to end by giving a huge shout-out to the fantastic Smart Heating & AC employees who worked so hard and with such skill to do such a beautiful, clean, and solid install of our new home HVAC system: Jorge, Jesus, Ricky, & Benny are all amazing, and we are grateful to you all for all your hard work on our behalf. It definitely shows, and the system is running great and is such a huge upgrade from the previous system. They also were respectful of the home and cleaned up everything great before leaving! Zero complaints, only compliments and gratitude for all of them! Mike, one of the owners, who did the initial consult and design of the new system was also amazing, so knowledgeable, personable, with such honesty and integrity. You can instantly tell he's just a good guy who always just strives to do right by his customers, including by adding on some of his own above-and-beyond guarantees about the system and their install, and not just the manufacturer warranty. I'm so happy I found Smart Heating & Air Conditioning, and am confident we will continue to be taken care of so well in the coming years by the entire Smart team. Having this type of confidence is super-important when it comes to your HVAC system & water heater. You don't want to wait 2 days or have shoddy repairs that shorten your equipment lifespan, for instance. These are significant investments and critical functions for the home. I had a great experience with Smart Heating and Air Conditioning. What started as a repair (old unit) ended up being a full replacement with a heat pump unit. We are super happy with the heat pump unit, I waited to post this review to see if my bill would be lower and it was! My husband and I couldn’t have made a better choice. The entire process was smooth and stress-free. The team had excellent communication throughout, from scheduling to updates and made sure I understood all my options. They were professional, prompt, and easy to work with. I’m super happy with the outcome and would absolutely recommend Smart Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone needing HVAC services. I think it’s human nature to question your decision after a major purchase. We’ve all experienced that inner voice asking “did I make the right decision?” “Was I too hasty ?” But that was not the case this week when we had Smart Heating & Air Conditioning replace our home’s air conditioner. Both my wife and I are so pleased and confident with our decision. From my first contact with Susie about our appointment and then her follow up and updates, to having technician Juan show me exactly what the immediate problem was, and answering all my questions, even making a call to get one answer. My furnace stopped working Monday morning. I called these folks around lunch time on Monday. First thing Tuesday AM Frank was here to get my furnace back working. In short order he had diagnosed the issues and got started on the repair. My furnace is working good as new now. I went up and took some pictures of the finished product. My 11 year old furnace is cleaner than it was when it was brand new and is running just as good as the day it was installed thanks to Frank. I know it can be hard to find good contractors. I would certainly call these folks again!

Smart Heating and Air Conditioning was the most professional, friendly, and knowledgeable company I’ve worked with. From our first contact, we felt like we were working with family. Our furnace went out and the techs and installers (Mike & Benny) were all so amazing with keeping us all informed, especially Susie who works in the office. But what really showed me how great this company was, is that they saw our handle to our screen door wasn’t functioning and they were so kind to offer to fix the issue. They fixed it in 5 mins. You don’t see this type of generosity anymore, so we appreciate that! Our furnace and air conditioner were replaced for a great price and we couldn’t be happier.
