Hidden fees and misleading booking process – Beware!
I am extremely disappointed with Home Aire Care. I specifically called to book a gas range hookup, but they failed to mention that the technician would not actually do the work during the appointment. instead, I was charged $169 just for a "diagnostic," which consisted of nothing more than looking at the connection and reading the manual.
After paying $169 for nothing, they gave me a cost estimate of $599 for the actual hookup. Nowhere was it mentioned that this simple job would end up costing nearly $768 total. The job is straightforward and should not cost anywhere near that amount. It felt like a scam to get the diagnostic fee out of me. I refused the $599 service, but I’m still out $169. Be very careful and ask specific questions about what you are paying for before booking.
