Furnace died and I called for service, very quick to respond , technician Geoff diagnosed the problem quickly. Decided to replace appliance. Spoke in depth with James. Technicians Noah and Dave showed the next morning to install our new furnace. These guys did a great job, ensured everything was working perfectly, tested everything and left after a thorough cleanup. I would highly recommend this business. Thanks.
Called their office number at 3:47 PM to schedule a furnace service appointment and was greeted by someone that had told me I’d called an on-call number and asked if I’d like the service performed after hours at after hours rates? I said no I’m just trying to book an appointment. They had previously called me and I called back on the number at the very top of their website in the picture attached the on-call person told me to stop calling their on-call number. I read the phone number that I had called back to her and she said that that was the office number and I said that it must’ve transferred to you. I then called back again at 3:50pm and got someone else that said it was an answering service and that I would have to call back between 8 and 4 PM in order to book an appointment with a technician. I asked if the technicians are the ones that book appointments or if it’s people in their office? I also pointed out that it was before 4 PM. I am not leaving a negative review because I actually had really good service from the technician that came and serviced my furnace last time that being said, phone service could be improved. If you make it that difficult to book an appointment during your business hours how can you expect people to book you?
I'm giving these folks 5 stars because they *didn't* come to my house. It was the first really chilly day of the season, the start of a holiday weekend, and our furnace isn't kicking in. I emailed the furnace people we usually use - no answer. I phoned them - no answer (guess who we *won't* be calling again). My heart sank - my family was coming for holiday dinner and I wanted the house to be warm for my toddler-aged grandson. I phoned Kingston Home Heating to book a call and the very nice woman on the other end of the line troubleshot over the phone. Granted, I got my steps in running up and down stairs to the cellar, but within 10 minutes, the furnace was up and running and started doing its job. So, BIG shout-out to these folks - very nice, smart, kind, and capable. That's a lot, you know?
Kingston Home Heating has been our heating maintenance provider for many years and have provided great professional quality service! When it came time to replace our 32 year old electric furnace we stayed with KHH because of their history of outstanding service! We were provided a competitive quote for the work and James and Shawn arrived on time as scheduled for the new furnace installation. Both James and Shawn were professional and experienced - they did an outstanding job and went over and above taking the time to place walking tarps so as not to track things into the house and they took the time to go over the features of the new furnace and warranty with us! And the price of the new furnace installation was as per quote!We are very pleased with Kingston Home Heating and the service James and Shawn provided! Thank you!
Gas fireplace serviced by James, who was excellent. He was polite, helpful, very knowledgeable and did a thorough job. We were totally happy with his service. My only complaint was with the Kingston Home Heating office regarding their scheduling. I made this appointment over the phone 6 weeks in advance and the service did not happen on the scheduled day. I phoned the office the morning of the scheduled service (on a Friday) and they were pleasant and assured me that I was next on their list. However by the end of the day no one had showed up and I received no phone call from their office advising me of that. Kind of unfortunate on their part since I was otherwise pleased with their service.
