I don't often write reviews, but I had to for this one. As a homeowner, one of the greatest stresses that I don't wish on anyone is having a busted A/C, especially in the middle of an RGV summer. I've heard horror stories of how expensive replacing them can be, and I've heard of companies that will urge you to replace the unit even if it's not necessary, and I was afraid this was going to be the case, but it was not. I called McAllen Refrigeration at 10 AM on a Monday. They told me they had their techs out servicing at that moment, but they could see me a bit later that day. Robert arrived at 12:30 PM, and he was excellent and knowledgeable, and now I wouldn't want anyone else servicing my A/C unit. In one hour and a half, he diagnosed and fixed the issue with my TRANE A/C unit, and my house was finally cooling! It was something relatively minor, and I was still under TRANE warranty, so I ended up paying about $185, a blessing when you consider the typical cost of these things. He also advised me about contacting Trane so that I can register my A/C unit since Esperanza Homes failed to register it when I bought my home, and the warranty lasts a lot less if you don't register your unit. So I will be doing that. Thanks, Robert! I highly, highly recommend McAllen Refrigeration, especially if you have a TRANE A/C unit.

Wonderful service, even better attitude. In great hands here. Trustworthy, dependable , honest and integrity rich. Tim came to our home and got our AC working better than ever- it's 20+ years old. We had been told it was dead, old, time to get a new one- and it may be near- but Tim, fixed us up , cleaned our indoor/outdoor units- in the middle of the day, during the hottest summer on record. Very pleasant and optimistic, the most capable hands in the valley. Tim's experience in the field and knowledge of the trade made us customers for life. He's got decades of experience in our area. So if you have an air conditioning issue, give these guys a call first and know that you're in the best hands, and they will do everything they can to get you back up and running as quickly as possible, without the painful price. This will be the only call you need to make.
