I have had nothing but great experiences with AC Plus. Both for HVAC and Plumbing. Mark Woodard and Dylan did a fantastic job with my plumbing needs. My house had terrible pipes and they completely replumed my house. Replace my Water Heater, installed a Flo by Moen and will eventually install a circulation pump.Brian and his trainee, did an awesome job on my HVAC. They were courteous and worked efficiently. They installed a UV light, surge protector and cleaned my coils.I received options from both jobs and chose the work I was willing to have done. No high pressure.
Jason at A/C Plus is exactly the kind of professional you hope to get when you call for HVAC service. From the start, he took the time to truly understand what was going on instead of rushing through a quick diagnosis. He listened, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure he had the full picture before moving forward. What really stood out was how he explained everything step by step. He didn’t just fix the issue and leave — he walked me through what he found, what he was doing to correct it, and why it mattered. That level of transparency builds trust, and it’s rare these days. You can tell he genuinely cares about doing the job right and making sure the customer feels confident in the work being done.Jason went above and beyond in both service and professionalism. If you’re looking for someone knowledgeable, patient, and committed to doing things the right way, he’s your guy. A/C Plus is fortunate to have him representing their company.
Mark and Blaine provided us with excellent service replacing our tankless water heater. They were very friendly, professional, informative throughout the entire process, and left everything very tidy. Thank you AC Plus for always sending the very best!
Review of A/C Plus Heating & CoolingI contacted A/C Plus Heating & Cooling - used by my home’s builder, to service our HVAC during the recent cold weather in Murfreesboro. Their ratings looked strong, but it took three calls across two days to get scheduled. I was told the diagnostic visit would be $89. The issue: the system was blowing 45–65°F air for 20–30 minutes each cycle, reaching only ~72°F at best, and the house stayed around 64–66°F during the coldest nights. Normally the system should deliver 88°F+ when aux heat engages.Visit SummaryThe technician arrived at the end of the window (3:45pm). He was polite, new, and still training. Using an AI-driven app and calling a co-worker, he inspected the system and found no faults. He couldn’t explain the poor performance and focused on the Nest thermostat, suggesting an upgrade. In the Nest app, I confirmed aux heat activity and located the Emergency Heat option. Turning it on raised vent temps to ~84°F at ~37°F outdoor temp - far better than before. I asked repeatedly for a direct check of the heat strips/elements. He declined, saying everything “checked out,” adding he “didn’t do anything at all” and would “cut a pretty good deal.”I prepared to pay the $89 fee, but he asked me to wait while he generated options. Twenty minutes later, he presented three packages:1. $786 - repairs, surge protection, insulation replacement, membership, etc.2. $475 - repairs, blower wheel cleaning, insulation replacement, membership, etc.3. $223 - repairs, dispatch fee, membership, parts and labor. He stated the $89 only covered arrival, not the time spent onsite. No repairs had been performed. No parts replaced. No error codes identified. Diagnostics were minimal, and the only improvement came from adjustments I made in the Nest app. I agreed to pay only the $89 and asked them to invoice the rest with itemized details. He asked me to sign a blank form; I declined. After he phoned the office, they told me to wait for an emailed invoice.POST-VISIT ISSUES:That evening, at ~22°F outside, emergency heat produced only 62°F air. Forcing Emergency Heat again didn’t help; indoor temps dropped to ~65°F. We used a fireplace and space heater overnight. By morning the vents were blowing 45–60°F.I called A/C Plus to report the unresolved issue and to question the charges. Issue was not resolved.SECOND OPINION:A different HVAC company inspected the unit. They immediately found the root cause: the emergency heat had no 240V supply (reading 0.00). The outdoor disconnect and both breakers were melted/fried. They replaced the disconnect and breakers, then retested - everything worked properly afterward, including the heating elements.Video from the first visit shows the A/C Plus tech opened the unit but did no voltage testing and did not inspect the breakers. The second company actually tested the unit, verified the heat strips were functional once power was restored.ADVICE:If you’re not familiar with HVAC systems, ask for clear proof of every step they take. Ask them to show readings, tests, and components. If something feels off, get a second opinion and request a technician experienced with your specific unit.THE POSITIVE:To their credit, A/C Plus agreed to drop all charges since no work was performed. This is the reason the rating is 1-star instead of 2 stars.
We’ve had Brian come to our home twice once for routine maintenance and once for a service call on our AC units and both experiences were excellent. Brian is very professional kind and respectful. He quickly identified and addressed the issues each time and was extremely thorough in his work. We really appreciate his expertise and great customer service. Highly recommend Brian and AC Plus!
