Critical feedback mentions difficulties with follow-up communication and delays on warranty or parts coordination. Overall sentiment trends positive but highlights the importance of consistent callbacks after initial visits.
I have a service plan with Consumers Energy and they sent out Blue Flame heating and cooling company. The person who helped me first was Mike and he stated that I needed a new furnace. I scheduled an appointment and they sent out Kaleb and Mondo, who are awesome. They were friendly, helpful, considerate and well educated. They cleaned up very well and I appreciate that. Thank you
I had a really great experience with Blue Flame. Carl who helped perform the preventative maintenance/ tune up of my furnace was absolutely excellent. Hey comes in and just shares his knowledge as he’s performing his checks and works. Extremely efficient and smooth as he works and explains things along the way in a manner that I think most people can understand and follow. So thorough that I really didn’t have many questions to follow up with. As someone who manages a lot of people where I work I was blown away with his efficiency and knowledge. Someone you can trust, wasn’t trying to up sale just explaining things to look out for and things to do while explaining the pitfalls of the system, how long the systems last for. I will certainly be going back to Blue Flame likely within the year to replacing my furnace due to the age and signs that the system is towards the end of life. Just exceptional service. Appreciate him and Blue Flame.
Though the folks that came out to our house to try and solve our heat pump issue were nice, we are very disappointed in the overall service of Blue Flame and have reached out and tried multiple times to have a conversation with someone about our experience, but no one will call us back. So- hopefully this review helps us hear from someone. We had another company doing regular maintenance for our system (which was installed in 2021, so relatively new), and they found that the heat pump was not functioning correctly and only aux heat was working. They suggested we reach out to the installer, Blue Flame. We paid for them to come out for the original diagnostic visit, and the technician said that the entire condenser had gone bad and sent another advanced technician to confirm that we needed to replace one of the most expensive parts of the unit. This second technician tried to get the heat pump functional again, tested different thermostats, and we ended up being charged for an advanced diagnostic fee for another visit after he said the new thermostats didn't help and he needed to call the manufacturer's maintenance team. At the end of his three days of attempting to get the system functional again, and $300+ in diagnostic fees later, he told us there was nothing that Blue Flame could do, it was an electrical issue and they don't have folks on their team who could help. We spent 3 weeks going back and forth to try to fix this, which cost us so more in electrical bills to run our aux heat.We ended up reaching out to another company and they found that it was simply the thermostat needing to be replaced (the new one was faulty)- which we did and now it is all back to working. They fixed it in two hours.I hoped that the company who installed the entire system only 4 years ago would be more helpful, and reasonable when it came to charging us for unnecessary visits - or even to just call us back to have a conversation about our experience. It seems like they are more interested in the high-yield installation work than to help those who already have Blue Flame installed systems.
Furnace died. Blue Flame came out next day. Found issues with old furnace. Got two estimates and Blue Flame had the best price. Scheduled replacement. Conner and Julian showed up at scheduled time. They had a few issues and had to make new air intake to fit to the new furnace. Both were very professional and kept the work areas clean. Had a small problem that night with setting the temps in house to work correctly. Called in and Blue Flame sent a warranty tech out the next morning. He was on time and found the problems and made adjustments. Very happy with the service, and the way the new furnace is performing. Would recommend, and am grateful all could happen in just a few days instead of weeks. Thank you!
Blue flame installed a lennox furnace, filter and heat pump for me 3 years ago. This year during a tuneup, techs found damage in the heat pump. They said they would call me for a followup appointment to repair it but I never got a call. I ended up calling and told them the situation and they scheduled an appointment but only sent out a tech to collect a 50% labor deposit before they would order the parts covered by my warranty. So I had to take time off work for something that could be done over the phone, and the heat pump still needed to be fixed in another appointment. Eventually they came out and fixed the heat pump. They offered to give me a free filter for my trouble, but after discovering that I had a more expensive filter, which Blue Flame installed, they backed out and never sent it.A couple months after that repair I had more heat pump issues. A tech came out and the issue they discovered seemed severe and they said blue flame would call to schedule a follow-up diagnostic for free. After several days of no call I ended up calling them to schedule it.I left work early for my appointment and was there for the entire 12-2 window. When nobody came by 2 I called and eventually was told they wouldn't be coming today, and rescheduled for the next day 12-4. Once again I took time off work to be home during the window. I called at 3pm when I had no call or text and was told they were just running late. Eventually at 430 I got a text saying the tech was arriving at 545, well after the window we agreed to.I called and told them to cancel since it was too late. They told me we could reschedule the next day as a "priority" appointment but I didn't want to take time off work 3 days in a row so I declined and said I might call again to reschedule another time. They told me this would forfeit my original diagnostic fee so I'd have to pay it again if I wanted to get an actual quote later. So now I have paid the diagnostic fee, taken time off work 2 times for missed appointments, and don't even have a quote to fix my heat pump. And the tech did come at 545 despite me being told the appointment was cancelled, apparently nobody informed the tech. The only time I've actually had good service from blue flame is when I was paying a bunch of money to install the system originally. They do not seem very interested in standing by their work and repairing what they installed. The techs were all nice people and professional but something is seriously wrong with the management of this company.
