I bought a house last year and had heating and cooling installed. Not only was it more cost effective than others in the area, but they worked with me to find a layout that wouldn’t damage the original woodwork in my home. They took into consideration that we may renovate areas of the house, and set it up so that it would be an easy conversion with the duct work. They were all so nice and respectful, and took the time to explain everything to me! I highly recommend!
Just spoke with Nancy regarding furnace broken at mom’s house. Plus: she called back quickly. However, she seemed like she did not want to come do the job. Kept telling me it would cost extra and be overtime pay since it’s a weekend. I explained how the unit sparked and tripped our breaker so would prefer it be looked at today as afraid of fire hazard. She said if breaker tripped it’s off so no fire hazard. But still, I was concerned. Also, temps are gonna be below zero windchill the next few days and pipes freezing etc. Nancy continued to remind me it would be extra cost so I asked how much extra. She could not tell me but did state “it will be $129 just for me to look at it and tell you what’s wrong and I would need payment at time of service, so like card, check, cash”. I again said if it was not so cold and hadn’t sparked I would wait and then stated it really seemed like she did not want to come out for job. I also decided at that time to inform her I had a call out to another place but they have not called back yet- letting her know at this point they were not my first choice. I politely stated it really seems like you don’t want to come out for this job so I will call someone else and I ended call. This is my elderly moms home. It is already down to 64 degrees inside. Yes, we can take her elsewhere- but that’s not an easy task due to her physical and mobility needs. What happened to customer service and compassion for others? No heat in this weather is an emergency. Lost our business and my moms. We had been loyal customers.
Our furnace gave out last winter, They were quick to come out and give us a diagnosis and a plan to replace even though it was late in the day. They were very processional and understanding to the fact that we had a special needs person in the home and also that this was stressful timing. They were able to bring us space heaters for the time till they could get out and replace it. They made the replacement happen the next day. They were clean and respectful. They worked quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend them from the technicians to the installers and the management that helped us through the process. They went above and beyond and several levels and we really appreciated it.
I had been smelling the scent of gas in one particular area of the house off and on. I called and set up an appt to have the heating unit serviced to see if that would remedy the problem or if the tech saw something major that needed more serious attention. They showed up on time but when the tech came to the house the only work he did was check for a gas leak. They did NOT perform the routine maintenance on the unit like I requested. And then they charged me $97 for the call out. I called back to the office and asked them why the tech didn't perform the service. They informed me there are 2 different kinds of service calls. 1 for service and 1 for repair. They said I only requested for a repair and since they didn't find any gas leak they couldn't do anything about it. I asked that they set up another appointment to have the unit serviced, only I would like the $97 credited to the next call out for the misunderstanding. They said they couldn't do that and that they owner (Rick Farrell) would call me back about the dispute. I explained the situation to him and he told me I requested the wrong type of service. I insisted I would still like to use them for the service call out if he would just credit the $97, and reminded him I am the customer here. He told me "just because you're the customer it doesn't make you right". I reminded him that I will never be using his company again and I will continue to go to his local competitor in the future. Sad thing is I used these guys for all of my duct work when I finished the basement two years ago as well.
We woke up this morning freezing cold, only to discover our heater wasn’t working. We’re glad it chose now rather than during the upcoming polar vortex to stop working. My husband tried taking a look at it himself to see if he could get it going to no avail, so we decided to call in the professionals! We called Farrell’s first thing this morning and they were here right away, now that’s quick service! Our technician was professional, polite, and answered all questions asked. Turns out our igniter had a crack in it and needed to be replaced, which was done all in this one visit. Thankfully, our heat is back on to keep us warm as the polar vortex is on its way! Thank you, Farrell’s! We appreciate your prompt and courteous service! We will definitely be using (and referring) this business in the future for all of our heating and cooling needs.
