First technician they sent out couldn’t fix the problem with our furnace, and became very rude and uncooperative. To his credit, Garry apologized and came out himself, but still no fix. After a third appointment, and no progress, we were asked to pay labour to replace faulty parts that Garry’s installed. Finally used another contractor: one visit, problem solved, and for $700 less than Garry’s quoted. I tried to support a local business, but it was wasn’t worth the time.
Had Gary’s clean my ducts and furnace. They did an amazing job. The tech showed my that the previous duct cleaning company was subpar with lots of 30 year old artifacts that blew out. Would recommend them to Anybody!!
I was told from a competitor that I would have to replace my April Air humidifier. Amy came out with a replacement in hand and told me it wasn’t necessary. She did a quick switch of some wiring and it’s working perfectly. In fact she doubted it was ever used! It’s that kind of honesty and integrity that is lacking now. .Oh well, the woman who answered the phone to book my appointment and helped me out with some information was amazing. I appreciate her very much. The gentleman that came to my house was incredibly disappointing. He was at the house, didn't speak to me. basically, took apart the AC unit outside, took a picture of it, put it back together. Then called me from his car And said, I needed a specific part, and it would cost $2600. This is me being shocked. and then he charged me $200 for a service call when he came for 10 minutes and misdiagnosed my air conditioning issue I then had a A1 heating, come. The guy was here for an hour and a 1/2. He went through things thoroughly. He got the AC working again. I might add, and then explained to me what the problem was. And the option to fix it was just over $900 in comparison to the gentleman from Gary's who said it was $2600 . My suggestion to you guys is if you're working with Gary's make darn sure that you get a second opinion, because not all the technicians are very accurate and honestly I don't think that the $200 for the service call charge should have to be paid considering he was here, for 10 minutes and misdiagnosed the problem a problem that would have cost me 2600 for a 900 issue..
