No longer want the service. Please cancel any scheduled appointments. The last lawn service was disappointing. It did not look pleasant but, rushed through.
I keep getting lied to about getting my lawn cut. Had a time and didn’t get a call for two months. I call back after and get a date for this month on the 28th and nobody shows up. I’ve been lied to twice about grass, it’s ridiculous.
I had them regrade my back and front yard, remove bushes, and seed my whole yard. They were very professional and did a wonderful job. I plan to use them for all of my landscaping needs.
This company is so unprofessional. No text or call backs. I called to find out about my property being serviced as well as text. I used GreenPal to hire them. They came out one time then as I looked over my plan they changed my dates without letting me know. I guess I have to find someone else.
TLDR: This company does not respond to website chats, emails, phone calls, or texts. They also charged me $2,000 for a job which was not completed to a professional standard and refuse to respond to multiple attempts to correspond/make it right. We hired J&R Lawn and landscape to conduct standard lawn care (grass cutting/hedge trimming/etc.) and had worked with them for a few months prior to hiring them for a larger job. The only issue I had during the initial relationship was a lack of communication/responsiveness from the company - they were hard to get ahold of and slow to respond. However, we hired them to aerate and reseed a large portion of our lawn, and totally dig up and reseed another large portion (standard neighborhood lot, front/back/side yard), as well as conduct standard weed control. In total, the job was quoted for just under $2,000.The aerating and reseeding portion of the job went fine, but the front lawn, side yard, and sidewalk strips where they dug up/replanted grass was not professionally done in any sense of the word. They left large strips of weeds along the entire exterior of the lawn. They also left the replanted topsoil with large, uneven trenches, and divots throughout. The grass came in patchy, probably covering about 85% of the property, and about 3-4 weeks later when I tried to coordinate to have the lawn cut (and ask about quality assurance for the leftover weeds, uneven lawn, and patchy grass) they failed to answer emails, chat messages, phone calls, and texts. I tried to get ahold of them to cut the lawn for about 2 weeks before I gave up and went with another company. Because it took so long, the grass was over a foot tall in places. In combination with the massive amount of hay they used to cover the grass seed, the cut grass and hay laid flat and embedded in grass that actually grew, blocked sun/nutrients, and killed additional grass in large pockets throughout the lawn. I had to pay the new company extra for the initial cut due to the length of the grass, then pay them to dethatch the grass to remove the embedded organic material to prevent future grass loss.If you're okay with lack of responsiveness and poor communication, this company is probably fine for standard lawn care. However, I would strongly recommend against employing them for larger jobs. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. This job was done in March '23; I've attached pictures from July '23.
