Elevate Landscaping did an excellent job aerating and overseeding my lawn. They were on time, professional, and thorough. I’m looking forward to seeing the results in the coming weeks. Highly recommend their services-they go above and beyond to meet your needs.
This is a summary I sent to Paul Villhard, VP of Operations, at Elevate Outdoor. I asked him to contact me if he had comments, otherwise it would post this (I felt it was fair to get input from the business). He emailed me back and asked me to call him. I did. I waited 3 business days for a return call. No response. As you'll see this was typical of our experience with this company installing an outdoor kitchen. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.Project quality and scheduleGoodThe project is now complete and appears to be very good quality.BadIt took an inordinate amount of time to complete (we started meeting with you all in July of last year, had an on site consult in Sept with design complete, made some pretty minor changes which caused contract/estimate delays until Dec when we finally got on contract). Work started in Feb. We were told it would be a 3-4 week project. We completed on May 21st. So the time duration tripled. Further, the punch list took until last week (Oct 2 2025). During the time we were trying to complete the punch list, we were billed several times for the final paymentGranite templatingGoodThere was a late breaking problem with one granite piece and the granite was re done quickly.BadThe problem resulted because the templating was done before all the stone was put on and the lights installed and the fabricator only put 1/2 inch lip/edge. The project manager was called when the templating was done but was not on site and said he didn't need to bePier problemGoodThere was a problem with the piers which was not anticipated by your estimate but was in the scope of work because it was discoverable at the time of the estimate. You all took care of that and we appreciate it and it was the correct thing to do.BadInitially the project manager, Gabriel, told us that the pier issue would be our responsibility which upset us.Crews and staffGoodThe workers we had out here were all very respectful and cleaned up after themselves.BadThe project manager was very DISRESPECTFUL, did not communicate well, and blamed us for things that happened when they were really due to his poor communication. He was apparently a subcontractor we found out later.Though our contract stated (and we paid for) Elevate to be responsible for permitting, no permits were pulled. Electrical permit had to be applied for after completion.Generally his communication with us was non-existent. Initially he promised us weekly updates. We never got them.Lastly he would tell accounting things were done in advance of them actually BEING done. We got invoiced at least twice when the milestone had not been reached. Basically he did not MANAGE the project. The project happened and he had (at times) only a vague notion of what was going on (from our perspective anyway).I will add that unfortunately, though I was heartened by your pledge to stay involved in the project, frankly, you did not. You called one time the week after I emailed you (which you had not seen). I never heard from you again.PunchlistGoodIt got done finally.BadIt again took an inordinate amount of time. Example - we asked for the permit documentation and lien waivers in May. Chris FINALLY got back to us to say no electrical permits (actually no permits of any kind but we believe that's the only one that was needed) on Aug 22.Final few itemsGoodWe were grateful the project got completed just a few days before the event we had planned (which was 3 months after work started).BadTom had to do all the final cleaning and install of a few minor items because the promised crew did not show up when promised (this was Wed before the event on Sat). We knew that person had a doc appt but when they didn't show at all and no one called to tell us when they might be there instead, we just gave up and did it ourselves because we were out of time prior to the planned event. In summary, we cannot (and do not) recommend your company.
Reeder and his team came up with a drainage solution for my property. They were quick and efficient from sending the proposal to scheduling and completing the job. It hasn't rained, so I can't comment on the drainage flow yet, but I would highly recommend Elevate Outdoor for your lawn care needs.
Elevate Outdoor started and completed our 15x20 flagstone patio in 3 DAYS! We had some major yard settling on one side of our house which left unchecked would have caused major damage to our foundation. Not only did they fix the problem, they installed a beautiful patio we can now use! I would definitely recommend Elevate Outdoor to anyone!
Elevate outdoor did a wonderful job on our backyard patio replacement project. Tore out our old stamped concrete patio and replaced it with a beautiful paver patio with fireplace. The workers that came every single day came on time and put in 10 to 11 hour days. They were so thoughtful and thorough. Everything was done with care and safety. It’s unbelievable to see the destruction that occurred and what it was turned into. They were easy to work with and as changes to what we wanted occurred they completely accommodated us. Excellent company to work with and recommend highly!
