Whispering Pines just did an amazing job on digging out/watering/heeling in about 80 beautiful native saplings, to be saved for replanting on our hospital grounds. We are a volunteer group committed to building and maintaining gardens and grounds for the hospital and this wonderful donation of help shows their huge community spirit. Whispering Pines—Sasa, Kenton, Grant, and the whole crew—turned my lifelong dream of a backyard oasis into a reality this summer! They are absolute rock stars and pros: dedicated, highly skilled, knowledgeable, trustworthy, transparent, and great communicators. The project began a year and a half ago with Sasa's consultation. He was inspired by our long-term vision, quickly mapping the yard in 3D, complete with elevation measurements and drone photos. From there he meticulously created thoughtful design proposals with detailed drawings and softscaping marked with specific species of plants in the gardens. Sasa was infinitely patient with us, reviewing and iterating until our dreams were captured to scale on paper, poster sized! Enter Kenton... this man takes great pride in his work and gets [it] done, working smarter AND harder leaving no stone unturned, literally - twice or 3 times if he has to. He completed the phase 1 foundation work of 1600+ sq ft in two weeks, including excavation, grading, paver base, pool cabana foundation, and a large armor stone retaining wall. Phase 2 saw Kenton and his crew complete the entire 4000+ sq ft job on schedule including an inground ICF swimming pool+spa, 2000+ sq ft of HEAVY hardscaping, a second huge retaining wall, and several gardens. Kenton tackled every challenge and change with patience and relentless precision, never taking shortcuts or settling for less than perfection - which he delivered. Last but not least, Grant was the unsung hero of the project that was there every step of the way to assess site challenges, bringing them to my attention promptly and transparently with solution recommendations. He quickly addressed any and all concerns that I brought his way, taking the time to meet with me to demonstrate that they were on top of absolutely everything. Most notably, he devised a robust drainage solution—complete with a catch basin and large main drain line tied into channel drains, the house downspouts and sump pump—diverting ALL water away from the pool and patio. It's incredible to see the system work when it's raining! Grant's experience and diligence ensured the job was done right, end to end. Sasa, Kenton, and Grant and the whole Whispering Pines crew worked like a well-oiled machine. I highly recommend Whispering Pines and look forward to working with them again in the future!
