I recently hired Mark from Landscape by Design to replace the old gravel in the small courtyard in front of my condo with new shell. He quoted a very fair price and was able to start the very next day. Mark and his crew removed the old material, installed fresh landscape fabric, spread the new shell beautifully, and then cleaned up. The work was excellent—clean, precise, and completed quickly. He understood the importance of making it a comfortable place for our dogs, as well as working within our somewhat limited budget. Mark and his team did an excellent job installing sod and revamping our plant beds in our back yard. I emailed Mark for a quote and within a week, he came in person to give me a detailed quote and a bunch of great ideas for how we could beautify our yard.

We recently purchased our home and the previous owners took an above ground pool out of the back yard, leaving behind a giant mud pit. I tried unsuccessfully to grow grass, which my dogs ran all over and kept destroying. Mark recommended laying down sod, which holds up better to frequent foot traffic. The sod took about a month to root but has since grown beautifully and blended in with our existing yard. He also took out a bunch of invasive plants and put in gorgeous lilies and other plants.

Mark and his team worked quickly and diligently. I was really impressed by their kindness and professionalism. I also appreciated Mark's willingness to work with our budget. I will definitely hire Mark again in the future!

Update: we just hired Mark to do part 2 of our landscape project and we are so thrilled! He has been a joy to work with - so professional, so knowledgeable, completes the work within the time quoted and is very thorough. He leaves great instructions on how to care for the plants and has been so responsive. Our neighbors are impressed too and we’ve recommended him to our friends and neighbors!
