Not a real locksmith, just a box. Couldn't duplicate my key, only give me the phone number of a real locksmith.

The kiosk was new clean and fast. The hard key it made works without issue. And while making it I noticed the ability of the kiosk to make fobs. So I tried that and the fob works fine too. I only wish I would have purchased them together so that I could have gotten a free third key for free, hint hint KeyMe should send me a free voucher for the third key. This was such a time savor and avoided what I consider as not so much fun trips back and forth to the hardware store which probably would have cost me more. $9 for key and $30 for fob which was going to cost my $50. Few things in my days are this quick easy and relatively cheap.

The technician who showed up was very professional and polite. The KeyMe referral service is the problem. The brand of reprogrammer could not connect to our car (which was shared before hand) and the technician left without charging me but KeyMe called and wanted their $30 for the trip charge. They were quite insistent. To be clear it was the locksmiths equipment and no issue with fobs we provided (besides the model of car) and I would have paid if my fobs did not work.
Good locksmiths but KeyMe is not.

I was in need of copying some keys, which the system delivered on the spot. There was afingerprint identification process so that my information could be stored. That process did not work properly so it was avoid with no negative results. On another visit I was again in Safeway and needed to get some more keys. The type I was requesting was not immediately available so they mailed them to me. All keys copied worked without problem. I believe it probably was within the 4-5 days promised. Nice service, no extensive waiting at a service counter. The price may have been a equal to or slightly higher than a normal key duplication, however, I didn't shop it or have an opportunity to compare.

This is more expensive than the average key cutters, twice the cost, but it WORKED when the hardware store's copy did NOT. Definitely try with any tricky key copy :-)
