Reviews

What customers say

Customer experiences with the key-copy kiosk are mixed: some found it easy to use, while several reported that their copies did not work. One customer said they paid but did not receive a key, and a customer who hired a locksmith called the charge unreasonable after being told a quote required seeing the job first.

Very bad service, I paid and didn't get my key. Terrible.

Steve Fusselman

Neither key worked. Maybe because sharp edges remained after REPEATEDLY inserting/reinserting keys into wire brush or whatever is inside to manually smooth out the keys a little. Menards needs to replace whatever is beyond the hole. TOTAL waste of time.

The service and friendliness of Royce was 5 stars but the price was unreasonable. I asked for a quote ahead of time and they said they’d have to see it first. It didn’t make sense but I was tired and wanted to get it done so I could take a family member to the hospital in the morning. It wasn’t after hours. Not a holiday. Not urgent. It was just a locked door. It took 5 minutes. $180!!!! If they just would have given me an estimate on the phone I would have saved them the trip and called around more. Shame on me. That won’t happen again. And not giving someone an estimate is just bad business.

Very east to use. Cool key design selection.

Jaren Johnson

Needed two keys (got a third for free). Very easy to use following instructions to scan and insert key to be copied. Only took a few minutes. All keys made work fine. Price is great. Will use again.

Key didn't work

Brett Miller

The key I had copied didn’t work on my lock. At least I’m only out $5, but I don’t know if I’d recommend others to use something that didn’t work for me.

Scooter Daniel

Bought one house key for $6. It was a cheap brass key. The machine kept trying to upsell me. "Pay more for a pretty design." "Buy 2, get another free" ; "Buy another for $4" The machine said the new key wouldn't look the same as the original, but it will work. Guaranteed! LIES! The new key doesn't work. Now I have to figure out how to get a refund from this text receipt. I will go to another store to get a key that actually works.
