I did not have a good experience. I had 3 generic keys copied for my Janitors closet at work and they don’t work. I got it done at a machine in a Menards and the workers said there is nothing they can do about it.

Went to Menards in Machesney Park IL. Paid for two keys. Was thrilled by the convenience. Assumed machine would spit the keys out instead was advised we could expect them in 3-5 days. We were fine with that. 8 days later we still have no keys. Tracking says it has been out for delivery for 6 days. 6 DAYS. KeyMe Customer Service does not respond to emails. Next stop filing complaints with the AG Avoid this service. Use a traditional locksmith. Will also contact Menards suggesting they pull the kiosk. UPDATE- Contacted KeyMe Customer Service and it went downhill from there. At least 30 emails back and forth. They used UPS Innovations which transfers the shipment to USPS, so tracking stops once USPS has the package. Stated they would issue new keys. Still no keys, but this time they shipped them standard UPS so at least we have a tracking number. They have refunded my money and claimed they will provide a gift card for the trouble.

I made 6 keys and not one of them worked. One star because… well the machine did spit out keys. They didn’t work, but they looked pretty close to the originals. I have made keys that did work using the machine.

Justin Catanzaro

It was fine. I spent ten minutes doing the work myself and payed more than I would have a couple years ago.

Tammy Arns

It was an easy process making the keys but unfortunately the keys did not work as expected and did not work to lock or unlock the locks. We made 3 keys in total. None of them worked.
