Frequently Asked Questions
What happens when a lock is rekeyed?
The locksmith changes the lock’s internal pins or wafers and creates new keys, making the old keys unusable. Existing handles, deadbolt sets and doorknobs can remain in place.
How quickly does TBC Locksmith estimate an emergency response?
The company gives a 15–30-minute response estimate for most Toronto locations; calls from Toronto’s outskirts may take up to an hour.
Can TBC secure a broken window before permanent glass replacement?
It can cover damaged doors or broken windows with plywood panels for temporary protection, then schedule durable glass installation.
