Reviews frequently mention responsive coordinators, clear estimating, and hardworking crews that manage stairs and tight spaces. Storage customers note items returning in good condition after months in storage. Some negative feedback cites scheduling changes and service inconsistencies across different crews. Overall ratings reflect a mix of strong move-day experiences and a minority of disputes over timing or expectations.

My moving crew of 3 guys was amazing. Moving the day before a major holiday is a pain in the butt not to mention the flights of stairs and sharp turns involved in my move specifically. They handled it all with ease and laighs and got done early. Highly recommend!

While doing renovation work on our home, it was necessary to put a lot of our furnishings in storage. After calling a few movers, we decided on O'BRIEN'S MOVING & STORAGE for a few reasons:
1. Their webpage had great information about their nice, clean trucks, large facilities, friendly employees, and nearby location,
2. They quickly sent a representative to our home
3. They quoted the job within a week
4. They gave us a fair price
5. They were ready to go when they promised.
Their employees were friendly, hard-working, and efficient. They packed our things carefully, and stored them at their site. We are able to access our things whenever we need, and not made to feel like we are imposing when we do.

O'Brien's Moving & Storage was perfect for our needs.

If this review prevents one other person from using this company, I will be happy that I saved someone from a terrible experience. I had used Obrien's for a previous move approx. 5 years ago and the move went smoothly at that time. When we were moving again, I decided to use them again. The initial consultation went well. Aaron came to walk through our home and gave us a quote. The quote was reasonable and we decided to use them again.

The move was scheduled for 3 days, 1 day packing, 1 day loading, 1 day delivering. At no point during the packing, loading or unloading phase did anyone mention that the move was going to cost more than the original quote.

At the end of unloading on the 3rd day, the worker gave us a bill nearly double original quote (quote approx. 6500, bill nearly 12,000). I refused to pay this but agreed to pay a 10% fee for the move going over at that time. The worker on site at that time told us that Aaron must have underestimated or was not allowed in every room in our home during the consultation (which was absolutely false).

Following this, the company then stated that we did not move enough of our own material during the move (a fact that I disputed as we did move a significant amount of our own materials into our in-laws where we would be staying. Again this was never mentioned to us during the move or we would have acted to move things that they expected us to move).

They first asked for the full amount we owed. Then slowly decreased the amount they asked us to pay. However, given the frustration of no communication during the move and them attempting to put the blame on me, I refused to pay move. Ultimately they sued for the full amount. The judge of the case agreed that Aaron had underestimated the cost of our move by nearly 6,000. We were made to pay a small amount over the original estimate but nowhere near what the company was attempting to charge.

I will speak to anyone willing to listen in an attempt to dissuade you from using this company. I'm certain they will respond to this message to attempt to justify themselves but they know they were in the wrong.

Another point that was never addressed was the absolutely terrible treatment I received from one of their dispatch workers, Kevin. The movers left a few items in our home that I requested they return to move. I was given a number to call by one of the workers and Kevin answered yelling at me for calling his cell phone. I explained that I was told to call the number and he continued to yell at me "Never call this number!". We eventually began to discuss returning to our home to get the left items and he rudely stated that they wouldn't be able to for a week. I explained that our closing was in a few days and they needed to be moved which angered him even further. He ended our conversation by again yelling at me to never call his cell phone. Absolutely horrible treatment of customer which I'm sure was never addressed.

Justin Schaffer on O'Brien's Moving & Storage

We moved from PA to TN and received several quotes from different moving companies. We wanted a dedicated load as opposed to a shared LTL (less than truckload). O'Brien's originally quoted an LTL shared tractor trailer but revised the quote for us accordingly. The week of the move we found out the assigned driver and box truck became unavailable so our moved was re-assigned to a tractor trailer with one other load, but the delivery would still be made in the original time window. A few days before the move the driver called, went over all the small details, and really gave us a good feeling which alleviated some of the stress. He and his local crew showed up on time, helped box up some last-minute items, had plenty of supplies (tape, boxes, moving blankets) which helped the moving out go smoothly. Later in TN the local crew and truck showed up on time and had the truck unloaded in just a few quick hours. They were all very friendly.

The day after the move into our new rental home we uncovered a pretty significant scratch made in a hardwood bedroom floor from a dresser being slid (likely the foot pad fell off during transit). I filed a claim with Allied, who had me get a local repair estimate, and within a few weeks received a check to proceed with the repair.

All in all, while moving is a very stressful time period, O'Brien's and Allied were great to work with and took good care transporting our belongings.

We used O’briens-moving and storage for both functions and they were great! Very responsive. We kept our belongings in long-term storage for a year and Owen did a fantastic job dropping off everything. Nothing was damaged either. Highly recommend.
