If I could give zero stars, I would. Whether Coastal identifies itself as a broker is irrelevant. It is with them that I contracted a move from Florida to New York. I was quoted about $2139.00 as an initial deposit to them and was supposed to give $600 at pickup and $600 when the furniture was delivered. The carrier, Rapid Express, demanded an additional $500 at each end, seemingly because Coastal’s estimate was so far off. Then they only took two thirds of the furniture. After a lot of effort, they came back for what they called the “leftovers”. This morning, some of that was delivered. Most of the leftovers are missing and the antique dining room table from my parents estate has been delivered with NO LEGS! Antique end tables have legs snapped off.
The drivers spoke no English and no one has a clue where our furniture is. Probably in a dumpster somewhere in New Jersey. Absolutely the worst service I have ever overpaid for and Coastal accepts zero responsibility.
