Thanks Jordan,Larry,Drew,Corey, and Derick you guys were awesome yesterday.I can't express my complete appreciation. They came in with great attitudes that set the tone for the day and our apartment was chaotic but they were up for the task. They came in ready to work and very professional. Thanks for being apart of both my daughters and I move.I hope I won't have to move anytime soon but when I do I want all these guys back!!!??
This was our 7th or 8th time having TROSA out, and they always do a great job. This time, James and Chris were super helpful moving some furniture out of our house. They were courteous and careful when moving the items and also very friendly and professional in our interactions. Thanks James and Chris!
I'm sad to write that this was one of the worst service providers of any kind I have ever worked with. I'm ashamed to have to write a negative review about an organization with such a good mission, but have no other recourse given that the experience I received was so far from reasonable or fair. I originally submitted the online form with details of my move. It was never responded to, so I started calling. The phone is answered very inconsistently (I would call multiple times per week and leave messages, only to catch someone every couple of weeks). I was originally calling to get a general quote for a move of my kind (grad student - less than one bedroom's worth of things with 2 months of storage in between) and got a very reasonable range over the phone. Given how reasonable it was, it made sense to overlook the inconsistencies in phone answering or other minor quirks about working with them. They told me however they didn't have any drivers to do pickup in my time frame, but that I could bring my stuff to the warehouse directly and arrange the second half of the move later. Again, manageable given the flexibility of my circumstances and the affordability of the quote. Later, after trying for a month to nail down the second leg of the move (calling, calling, calling), the official quote they gave me was FOUR THOUSAND dollars MORE than what was originally quoted to me on the phone. Yep. I understand adjustments on the margins, but that obviously is a far cry from what I was originally told when I decided to do business with them. They then said they would price match if I could find a better offer. When I came back with multiple better offers from their competitors (the first several non-sponsored Google results), they told me they were not reputable companies and would not honor the match that was offered over the phone. Finally, after many days of negotiation, we reached an agreement (that was still unacceptable to me but I was in a pinch given that my stuff was already being stored with them). The cherry on top is that even though the contract I signed said it included reassembly of furniture, the movers told me they weren't aware of that and chose not to reassemble my one piece of furniture that required it (bed). The movers told me they were going to check something in their car and (therefore lying) left without saying anything further. All of this, including the fact that I did the first leg of the move myself...
The actual movers we used with TROSA were excellent but the customer service in the main office fell short of expectations. I was very clear about what we wanted and prepaid for services. However, I received a call for additional fees the next morning. While the additional costs were legitimate, it made our entire move extremely expensive. We ended up paying well above what we would have paid had we gone with another company. We chose TROSA because of the work they do in the community and still believe in that work. However, the cost of their moving service exceeds any community related commitment they may have. Use them only if you are okay with paying above market pricing and consider it a donation to a worthy cause.
TROSA moving moved a desk into my housing. They were so careful and fast. Made sure they used moving blankets. They even hooked my computer back up. Thanks again TROSA. Love ya"ll
