I took several months to write this review about JMY Moving because I wanted to let things settle.On June 30, 2022, we had to wait all day for our move. We had a scheduled time early in the morning. We had everything perfectly prepared to make the apartment available to the new tenants by mid-afternoon.We only had furniture to move, within a kilometer. We had already moved the boxes ourselves.Finally, the stress set in when we realized the truck wasn't arriving. 10:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., noon, 1:00 p.m. No truck arrived. Despite the very brief follow-up calls with the landlord, it was difficult to get a straight answer. It was finally after 4:00 p.m. that their team arrived.Not at all sorry, the movers filled their truck and in less than an hour and a half, everything was done. Despite this, the owner offered no sincere apology and we were charged full price despite the breach of contract. He preferred to blame everything on the previous client, claiming she hadn't mentioned she was moving into a house instead of an apartment.However, the movers told us the opposite. A blatant lie to salvage the chaotic day for themselves.Perhaps it would have been better to schedule the smaller jobs earlier in the day to free up the rest of the schedule for larger moves.And let's not forget that one of the three guys helped us reassemble furniture they had taken apart on their own initiative, only to be stopped by the team leader who claimed they never reassemble clients' furniture... if only that had been our choice in the first place.And that's not even mentioning the scratch we discovered on our refrigerator a few hours after they left.In short, a pretty ordinary first experience with a moving company, which, by the way, doesn't provide any written contract.I don't doubt their professionalism, but it could have been better. The company would have appreciated more attention to detail. Especially considering the price we paid and the fact that no discount was offered due to their late arrival and the resulting stress.
