I hired Affordable Moving Services after my original movers canceled on me at the last minute, and I truly appreciated how quickly they were able to step in and help on short notice. That alone saved a very stressful situation, and I’m grateful for their prompt response.Overall, the moving team did a good job. They worked efficiently, handled most of my items with care, and for the most part were thorough throughout the process. I also made sure to tip them well to show my appreciation for stepping in during a difficult situation.However, my experience with the owner, Carlos, left a lot to be desired. His communication style came across as aggressive and abrasive, which made interactions uncomfortable. Additionally, a power cord went missing during the move. When I brought it to his attention, he took no responsibility and made no effort to resolve the issue—even though it would have been a simple and inexpensive fix (around $10).While I appreciate the team’s effort and the fact that they showed up when I needed help most, customer service—especially from leadership—matters. A little accountability and professionalism would have gone a long way in making this a much better experience
Great service and experience with them, when they say they will be there at a certain time they're there. Communication was excellent with Carlos and the guys moving the furniture. Very careful and quick to do the job. Would not hesitate to go through them again if needed or recommend them to anyone.
I was extremely happy with this service and I stumbled upon them. They were very professional, very fast but careful with all items. We had the move completed, despite a 35-40 minute drive, so much faster than I thought. They came prepared to dismantle furniture and obviously knew what they were doing. They delivered to both the storage unit and a new home where they asked about the placement of every item and made sure that everything we needed moved or placed was in the correct spot before leaving. For the amount of items that had to be moved, the distance driven, two stops and the care given to the placement of items in the new home, I felt the price was very fair. I highly recommend them.
I had a recliner lift chair I needed moved from my downstairs to an upper level. I called on a Thursday, Carlos scheduled for Saturday. I immediately received a text confirmation on day and cost. On the move day. I received a text about the arrival time. They texted me when they had arrived and got straight to moving the chair, being very careful not to bump the walls as they moved it. I appreciate the straight forward, transparent and efficient way they worked. Will definitely use them again.
