Jeff was great! He gave several notices that he would be treating our property. He took the time to ask if we needed anything else which I appreciate. Lastly, he took pictures to demonstrate that the treatments are working. I couldn’t ask for a better person to represent Bug Shark.
I have been using their service since April of 2025. They caught me while I was home during a stint of hospital stays and surgeries I had the whole year. I ended up being out of work and have been paying for it since I have not been able to go spray myself. Sadly, I've needed to cancel since December, But did not understand I had to talk to them over the phone. Okay. I get another call because I asked them to please cancel service for my most recent visit. I am currently living off savings and needed to cancel. This is when I was made aware that it was a contract. I cant recall being told or seeing that it was a yearly contract that I was charged monthly for, I was on heavy pain medication the day the rep came by. They also never sent me a copy of the contract or anything at all since service has started since the rep put my email address in wrong, even after spelling it out to them as I always do. No they want me to either pause my contract for two months, Pay the rest of my contract off to cancel or pay a cancellation fee that's even high than my contract pay off.I understand I signed a contract now. I was at least hoping for some sort of empathy due to my situation. There was 0 given. and that's just bad customer service. I had to cancel 2 of my visits in 2025, And they never sent someone out to spray for the canceled sessions. All around just bad customer service, and they don't care.
Most of the exterminators that came out were very good and knowledgeable, only one wasn't very good. I think they are priced a little high but I like that the stuff they use are safe for pets as soon as it's dry. They come out quarterly and any time you might notice bugs, they will come out for free
Only gave 3 stars because a lot of companies pay to weed out 1 & 2 star ratings from being seen. Would not recommend if you ever want to get out of the annual contract. Will never sign a contract like that again, there’s no reason to trap people in these, things come up and you can’t get out of the contract without paying it out anyway with a cancellation fee on top of it. I asked what my options were to cancel due to financial concerns and was then called daily about an “outstanding balance” because they took it upon themselves to cancel it without confirming with me and then charging the cancellation fee on top of the rest of the contract. I have 4 months left and said I’d give notice in writing to cancel it as of the date of the end of my current contract. I was told they won’t honor that and for “security reasons” they have to talk to me again in May to cancel it. When asked what the security reasons were she couldn’t answer it. It’s clearly to get me to stay. This experience of making the cancellation so difficult solidified for me that I will never return. This is a terrible way to do business.
UPDATE: I spoke with Allie today who was extremely helpful and professional. We discussed issues and misunderstandings from both sides and were able to resolve. I’m really appreciative of the customer service I received today! Thank you again, Allie!I’ve used them for a few months now. Unfortunately, I wasn’t seeing a noticeable difference (anything more than what a store bought treatment would do) with the ants and mosquitoes that I paid a service for and had called them to come back and spray additional treatments due to this, which they did do but ultimately, I decided to cancel the service.It should be noted that upon signing for the spray service, which the sales person didn’t make clear it was a contract until I asked that specific question.. he informed me that if I needed to or wanted to cancel at any point it would just be the $100 discount he offered up day of that would be owed (he was trying to secure another house so lessened it from $150 to $100 as “such a great deal”) .. I called to cancel and spoke to a woman who was pretty rude insisting it’s $400 to cancel after I shared with her what I was told it would be. Big difference between the $100 their staff member informed me it would be. I played phone tag with them to discuss the discrepancy with a manager but instead of a phone conversation I got a text saying click this link to pay your $400 balance owed. Please train your staff better on what’s correct regarding terms and cancellation to avoid conflicting information and frustration. This isn’t the first review saying this.
