After getting multiple estimates from different rodent and insulation companies, I can confidently say that Honest Rodent Proofing was by far the best experience!!! Best company - by far- in the Bay Area. AND they a the licensed too! Verrrrry important!! Many companies on Yelp are not licensed companies.AJ and his team went above and beyond to make sure everything was done 100% right. They were incredibly thorough, detail-oriented, and took the time to explain everything along the way.AJ especially stands out. He is a very reasonable guy, and transparent with what needed to be done, which sadly seemed like a rarity these days in the business world. I can tell he genuinely cares about doing the job properly and treating his customers fairly. At no point did I feel pressured or upsold (like I did with the several other companies I met with) just honest advice and quality work. He even offered to come over after the job was done to do a final walkthrough and address any concerns (if any) with my dad.The whole team was professional, hardworking, and they clearly take pride in what they do. If you are dealing with rodents or insulation issues and want a company you can trust, go with Honest Rodent Proofing!Thank you AJ, Yami, Jazmin, Aldo, Brian Ray, Sam, Francisco, Esequiel, Clemente, and the rest of the team!!!!
Honest Rodent is a top notch company who is very meticulous and thorough with their work. We were extremely pleased with the rodent eradication work they performed. We have used other pest control companies in the past but none compare to the level of service and execution of honest rodent. I would 100% recommend them for any rodent issues, they certainly have mastered their craft!
*Edited and updated this review after the company reached out to me.After talking to them, they realized some mistakes made on their part, and reimbursed me for half of the cost of the work. I appreciated their thoroughness in following up, and the swiftness of it. I am still a little confused exactly on how it all happened in the first place, and still wished for a bit more clarity on the original e-mail. But their work was never the issue, and I appreciate the effort to make right what was wrong, amended the star rating to reflect this.Mistakes just happen sometime, and all you can ask if for them to be corrected, and they did that.------------------------------------------------------------------We decided to go with Honest Rodent over another company due to a few reviews I'd read on here. But honestly it feels like a huge mistake. We were charged over 4,000 for the work they did, which took a total of four hours. The other company, which I'll leave the name out as to not try to make this seem like I'm promoting them, said they'd do the same job for 2,500 and a three year warranty versus one year. They also showed up in full protective gear, removed their booties when walking through our home, and used some long probing cameras to find the rats, all of which honest rodent didn't do. I realize once that yes I should have taken more notice of this. They initially quoted the job at over 7,000 but when I tried to explain that they were quoting me for things that don't pertain to the job, and asked for an itemized list explaining these costs they just came at me with a lower price, but without the list. I shouldn't have accepted. When they showed up they still talked about the scope of the job involving things that weren't part of the job. Discussing a crawl space (we have no crawl space). They even accidentally showed up another person's bill by mistake, it was cheaper than ours and involved pouring concrete. We'd also been told they'd show up with a dumpster if anything needed to be removed/cleaned, they did not. What finally pushed me over the edge to the point of writing this review was when they came back a week after to check up on the traps, they asked again about a crawl space, and basement when they only worked on the attic. It feels like they're really not in touch with the amount of work they did. I'd still love to see an itemized list of the cost for all of what they did. All of the workers themselves have been very pleasant, nice, so I feel bad writing this as it impacts them. But whoever is in charge of scoping the job in terms of what they actually did. This isn't necessarily about the quality of their work, more so in feeling scammed when it comes to the pricing, and their inability to accurately explain why they justify the cost.
Super friendly staff, fast, efficient and under my other quotes. Loved Anthony the owner and Yami the Ops leader. I knew what each next step was along the way because of the SW they use so always felt informed.
I highly recommend this company to anyone who has rodent problems. I discovered that my crawl space had a mess of issues that were caused by rodents, including damage to my plumbing and air ducts. Chris came out, crawled my house, and clearly explained every problem that needed to be addressed. Although it wasn’t a cheap project, the quote was still incredibly reasonable. I had never heard of a “rat slab,” but after Chris explained the benefits of pumping in concrete to create a solid barrier from tunneling rats, I was sold. When Josh and his team arrived, they were friendly, polite, and very professional in their work. Particularly, I really appreciated their attention to detail. If my wife and I had any questions or concerns, Josh had the answer. I was amazed at how much they accomplished each day, and Josh always kept me in the loop regarding the work progress. They finished the job in about 4 days, which was a bit longer than originally planned, but only because of some unrelated plumbing problems (prior owners doing shoddy work). Once the plumbing issues were resolved, the company scheduled me for the earliest time to finish the job. I am absolutely satisfied with the finished product. My house is as it should be and I’m very confident that the rodents won’t be back anytime soon!
