Highly recommend Harwood Plumbing and Heating. When our heat went out during one of the coldest stretches of winter, Adam Harwood was incredibly responsive and supportive. Even though he wasn’t on site himself, he took the time to troubleshoot the furnace with me directly, walking through the issue carefully and methodically until it was clear what needed to happen next.Adam then arranged for one of his technicians to come out, who was able to properly assess the system and determine that the furnace itself wasn’t the issue, but rather an electrical problem. That clear diagnosis saved time, avoided unnecessary work, and ensured the right solution was pursued immediately.Professional, thorough, and genuinely invested in solving the problem the right way. Excellent communication from start to finish. Harwood Plumbing and Heating is a company you can trust, especially when things are stressful and time matters.
Excellent service. Did a major repair on our basement and had to rip up floors, but concrete and move washer and dryer. Gave Harwood a deadline of 10 days and they finished on time and under budget. Excellent work.
Rates are cheaper, but final bill turn out quite expensive compared to other quotes for a maintenance job. I do appreciate one issue took more time due to the fact Nolls had been overlooking it, but the tech took multiple smoke breaks, and it was included into the billing (I kept my own time logs). The manager did reduce the price to something more reasonable, but the humidifier that they worked on had issues in less than 3 months. When I contacted them about it, I would have to pay again to get them to fix it. I suspect the issue arose due to their maintenance not being thorough. The tech indicated he just flushed it (the equipment is able to auto flush on its own), when he should have taken it apart and cleaned it thoroughly.
The gentleman who came was very polite and pleasant. He was also very thorough. No shade to the company I used before, but this fellow took apart and cleaned parts of the hot water on demand unit that have never been looked at before. My husband and I were very impressed and now loyal Harwood customers. Price was very reasonable.
We hired Hardwood Plumbing for a shower installation, but the experience was terrible from start to finish. When they installed the shower, they left dirty footprints all over it, staining it in the process—something a tarp could have easily prevented if they cared to use one.The installation itself was sloppy and crooked, so much so that they had to cut the top of the shower just to try to “fix” it. The caulking was done terribly, with dirty fingerprints smudging it and leaving it looking messy and unprofessional. To make matters worse, they used clear, unpaintable caulking on the top, leaving it looking unfinished and absurd. If they didn’t know how to install the shower properly, they should have been honest about it instead of leaving us with such a poor result. We could have easily gone with another company that knew what they were doing. They even admitted to my husband that they knew it was a bad job, apparently the worst shower installation they have ever done. It’s one thing to make a mistake, but another to walk away knowingly leaving such a mess. For a professional plumbing company, this is completely unacceptable. Save yourself the headache and go with a team that takes pride in their
